Already Gone, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby and USA Today bestselling author K.L. Grayson
Falling in love is easy…
New Hope, South Carolina is my home. It’s where I grew up, got into trouble, and fell in love for the first time. Scarlett Kincaid was more than the girl next door, she was my best friend, until she decided that small town life wasn’t for her. One minute she was here, and the next she was gone.
The girl I used to fish with down at the creek is now the biggest name in country music. She headlines world tours, has won four Grammys, and I haven’t seen her since. Until today when she sped through town in her fancy car. One look at her big brown eyes was all it took to stir up a whole slew of emotions. Emotions I’d long ago buried and sure as hell don’t have time for.
It’s the aftermath that’s hard…
There are two things in my life that matter. My music, and my dad. Twelve years ago, I packed a bag and chased my dream. Leaving New Hope and escaping the gossip mill was the easiest decision I ever made. I never planned to return, but my father needs me, and he always comes first. So, I did what I had to do. I cut my tour short and came home, despite having a sister who hates me, and a community that doesn’t trust me.
And then there’s Tucker Andrews.
When he propped an arm on the roof of my car, pulled down his sunglasses and flashed his police badge, I nearly swallowed my tongue. Gone is the lanky boy who used to throw rocks at me and pull my pigtails. Tucker is now a six-foot package of brawny, sexy man wrapped in more muscle than I have hit singles. Did I mention he’s a cop and a single dad?
My goal was to help Dad, and get back to my life. But what am I supposed to do when the life that used to strangle me suddenly fits like a glove, and makes me dream of things I never thought I’d have? What happens when the boy I walked away from years ago becomes one of the most important people in my life? I don’t have room for a man much less love.
Right?
Because it’s impossible to hold onto someone who’s already gone.

Scarlett Kincaid has the perfect life. She’s a famous singer and all her dreams have come true but when her father has a stroke she leaves her life to go back to her hometown to take care of him. She runs into a lot less love than she expected when she hits the city limits.
Tucker Andrews is not happy to see Scarlett speed through town. He was her best friend growing up, though she didn’t acknowledge him to the outside world often but then twelve years ago right after high school graduation she left their sleepy little town and never came back. He hasn’t spoken to her in twelve years and now it’s his turn to give her a piece of his mind.
These two were like fire and gasoline! I loved the heat between these two!  Both Scarlett and Tucker have insecurities to overcome and their communication needs some serious work but I truly loved the world Proby and Grayson created!! I want more!!
I hope that Tucker’s brother will get a book! I want him to get his HEA!! Plus we can get more from Scarlett and Tucker!!!
100% recommend this book!! It is sweet and funny and steamy!!

Blog Tour Teaser .jpg Excerpt:
New Hope, South Carolina. Population 6,129. I know every soul represented in that number. Not a single one of them drives the shiny red Mercedes that just went speeding by. Seventy-five in a forty-five. I flick on my lights and press on the gas, sending my cruiser flying past the city limit sign and the godawful billboard that sits directly behind it; the one declaring New Hope home to country music superstar, Scarlett Kincaid. It wouldn’t be a big deal if this were actually her home. It’s not. Scarlett may have been born here, but her fancy boots haven’t landed on this soil in over a decade. All it took was one call from a hotshot music executive to send her packing before the ink was dry on her high school diploma. Scarlett flew from this town fast enough to leave our heads spinning. Before any of us could process what had happened, little Scarlett Kincaid—the same girl who used to build forts with me in my living room while my mama made us mac ‘n’ cheese—had a hit single sitting at number one on the Billboard charts. She went from homecoming queen and most likely to marry a rich spouse in our senior yearbook, to the queen of country music. The country loves her. Hell, the whole world loves her. New Hope…not so much. And it’s high time that fucking sign comes down. But first, I have to deal with this speed demon in the sexy red car. I sound the sirens, and the car pulls to the side of the road and waits while I walk to the driver’s side window. It’s still up, the heavy tint preventing me from seeing inside. With a hand on my holster—because you never know what you’re going to walk up on—I knock on the window. The dark glass lowers. My first thought: this woman is absolutely gorgeous. Long, dark hair. Pouty lips. And a tiny pink dress. Her eyes are covered by oversized aviators, but I’m sure they’re as pretty as the rest of her. My second thought: what crazy excuse is she going to come up with to try and get out of this ticket? It never ceases to amaze me the things women are willing to do to keep from getting into trouble. I’ve been offered everything from a blowjob to a pay-off to marriage. “Do you know why I pulled you over today, ma’am?” “Tucker?” The woman smiles, then pushes her sunglasses to the top of her head. And that’s when I see the brown eyes I’ve spent more than a decade trying to forget. “Tucker Andrews, is that you?” I step back and square my shoulders. “You can call me Officer Andrews. Do you know why I pulled you over today, ma’am?” “Tucker.” The woman laughs and shakes her head. “It’s me, Scarlett.” At the mention of her name, I’m met with an onslaught of flashbacks. Running hand and hand through the neighborhood with her, laughing and playing, only to have her ignore me the second we got to school. The popular crowd versus the nerds who desperately tried to fit in. She the former, me the latter, and the pain it caused every time she acted as though she didn’t know my name. For years, I pretended it didn’t bother me because I knew that when I got home, Scarlett would meet me at the fence, and the awkwardness from the day would dissipate as though it never happened. But it did. Day after day after day. I was a glutton for punishment. There was nothing in the world I loved more than Scarlett Kincaid, and it didn’t matter how badly she hurt me, I was always willing to forgive her. Her smile and laugh might’ve gotten to me in middle school and high school, but I refuse to let it affect me now. “I know who you are.” Her smile falters.

Gorgeous. Sweet. Funny. He made me feel things that I’ve never felt before. In just one short week over Spring Break, I began to fall in love. That is until it all fell apart. I’ve changed, and there’s something he doesn’t know.

He wants me to give us another chance. I try to fight it, but it’s not long before all of those same old feelings come rushing back. I know he feels it too. I can see it every time he looks at me. I can feel it every time he touches me.

It feels like I’m missing something. Like there’s something that he’s not telling me. Something that has the potential to tear it all apart. After all, it’s not easy when you fall in love with your best friends’ father. I didn’t stand a chance after we met.

Excerpt

“You are so beautiful,” I whisper. I know I’m playing with fire right now, but I’m beginning not to care anymore.
Lani licks her lips, it’s like she’s begging for me to kiss her. As much as I want to, I just can’t. I can’t do that, and I can’t do it to Molly. They’re best friends and I wouldn’t want it to destroy their friendship.
I reluctantly let her go. “We’ve got a busy day tomorrow. Maybe we should call it a night.” She follows me out of the pool.
I wrap her towel around her—my eyes never leaving hers as I slowly dry her off. My heart is pounding in my chest, squatting down in front of her I dry her legs off. My eyes drift down to her long shapely legs.
My fingers ghost over her smooth skin. I don’t miss Lani’s quick inhale of her breath or the rapid rise and fall of her chest. If I close my eyes, I swear I can smell her. My dick stands at attention and begs me to be inside her.
“Ahem…you better get inside.” My voice is hoarse, laced with desire. “I’ll-uh… see you in the morning.”
“Goodnight,” she whispers. Her voice is melodic and makes my blood sing. I don’t stand up until she’s inside and I see the guest bedroom light flip on upstairs. Only then do I extinguish the torches and head inside.
When I finally settle into bed, I can’t sleep. Is it because I know she’s upstairs sleeping? Is it because I’m dying to know if she’s wearing that threadbare tank top again? Before I can stop myself, I’m out of bed throwing on some basketball shorts and walking out of my bedroom.
I stand at the bottom of the stairs and take a deep breath. Step by step, I walk silently up the stairs. When I reach the top, I walk toward Lani’s closed door. I lift my hand to knock when I hear a soft moan and a faint buzzing sound. I need to walk away and give her privacy, but instead, I put my ear to the door and listen to her masturbate.
“Oh Damon.”
She just moaned my name and my cock is so fucking hard right now. I wrap my hand around it through my shorts and squeeze, trying to ease the urge to come. Lani comes with a muffled shout and I swear my balls start tingling.
I head downstairs before she catches me, but once I’m in the privacy of my bedroom, I jerk off voraciously until I’m spent and only then do I fall asleep.

After We Met was a great read. It had my emotions all over the place. I loved the taboo element of Lani falling for best friend’s dad, Damon. They met when Molly took Lani with her on spring break. He made Lani feel special and things that no one ever had before. She was falling for him, hard and fast. Until the day it all fell apart. Three years later and Lani thought she had moved on but what happens when he walks back into her life? This is where this story really takes off.

I loved this story so much. It had all of the drama, angst, and emotions that I love to read about. I love an emotional read and this story left me with all the feels. I loved Lani, she was strong, kind, loving and everything else you’d expect from a great heroine. Molly and her dad, Damon I had a love/hate reaction to. When it was good it was great with them and when it went south they were at times awful but in the end, they redeemed themselves. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Lincoln Moorhead’s life is in the tank. He was spent most of his life avoiding his family. His parents sham of a marriage and his douchebag younger brother made it east to want to be far away from them. But when his father does he has no choice but to one back into the spotlight. He would much rather be in a different country helping those in need.

Wren Sterling has the task of transforming Lincoln from rough mountain man to a refined man who could take over for his father as CEO. His attitude towards her softens and though she knows getting involved with him will turn her life upside down she can’t help falling for him.

I really liked this story!! Wren was a great heroine and I loved her spunk. Lincoln has a shitty immediate family, well except for G-Mom. When his life is int he shitter he finds Wren and with her help he is able to overcome some of his past and realize that maybe not everything is as it seemed for him and his father.

I loved that Lincoln hated his brother as much as I’m everyone who has read this series from the beginning has! I also loved that he isn’t afraid to stand up to his mother and take out his brother if need be! I really hope we get Hope’s story!! I want to know more about her and I feel like her story would be a great one!!

“You have a suit fitting tomorrow morning.” “Tomorrow morning? I have lots of suits; I’ll make one of those work.” “Are they like the ones you wore to the funeral?” I ask. “Yeah, why?” “Well, they may have fit you five years ago, but they certainly don’t fit you now. I’ll text you the details and add them to your personal calendar.” “You can’t do that without my cell number.” His smugness would be grating if I wasn’t two steps ahead of him. I flash a fake smile. “I already have all of your personal details, Lincoln. Right down to your shoe size. And you can’t be late like you were this morning, so it might be a good idea to avoid the scotch tonight so you’re less bear and more human. You’ll need to use these things called manners. I can email you a refresher on what those are, should you need it.” “Sarcasm is a weapon of the weak.” My ears are on fire as he heads for the door. Jerk. I was being witty, not sarcastic. “Thanks so much for offering to help clean up the mess you made.” I turn to address the crinkled papers scattered on the floor. It’s common courtesy to offer assistance if you’re the one who made the damn mess. Even Armstrong, who is the most epic of douches, has some manners. Usually he’ll try to look up a skirt or down a shirt while he’s being polite, but it’s better than this. I turn to retrieve the papers when two things happen, a power surge ramps up the box fans—it happens at least twice a day, and at the same time Lincoln pulls the door open again. The simultaneous actions create a vortex of air inside my office, and my skirt flutters into the air. Like I’m Marilyn Monroe and I’ve stepped onto one of those subway grates. The fabric rises quickly, and a breeze hits me right between the legs, which is the exact moment I remember that I’m not wearing panties. Because they were covered in the coffee Armstrong spilled in my lap. I drop the papers and battle the fabric back down. It’s fruitless, though, the wind tunnel whirls through the room like Dorothy’s freaking tornado, and the back of my dress goes up. I meet Lincoln’s gaze from across the small room. All it takes is a second of eye contact before those ridiculously blue eyes pull me in, and weird, inappropriate things start happening to my body. It’s irritating as hell. I don’t even like this guy, but my body seems as if it hasn’t gotten the same memo as the rest of me. Even more aggravating is the realization that based on his expression, he totally caught an eyeful of cooch. Lincoln stands frozen at the door, eyes wide and fixed on my crotch, mouth hanging open. “Close the damn door!” My voice is siren high. And loud. “Right. Yes. I’m going. Now.” He steps out of my office, pulling the door closed behind him. My dress settles around my knees. “Dammit.” I drop into my chair, which is probably what I should’ve done as soon as the wind tunnel started, but clearly I’d been too panicked to think straight. On the upside, I went to see my waxer last week, so he’s seen my girl bits when they’re looking their finest. On the downside, my project for the next six months has seen my naked girl bits.

Excerpt:
Jessica… I dart toward the door in the far right corner and enter the bathroom, where I find a giant old-fashioned, barrel-style tub. I open one of the white cabinet doors and also find a towel, but I’m just too wet for it to help. Like that woman was for Craig. Oh God. There I go again. No. No. No. I will not think those thoughts. No more. I’m done. With him. With her. I strip down naked, wrap the towel around me, and hunt for my suitcase, which I hope like heck has the other bag of chocolate I packed. Naked might get a girl in trouble, but I’m alone and it’s not like anyone is going to see me naked anytime soon. I can go right ahead and happily pack a few pounds of chocolate weight on a petite frame that can’t handle a few extra anything. There will be no more men for me. Therefore, there will be no trouble to be found. It’s a great plan and on this one, really truly, I dare to say, what could go wrong? I exit the bathroom into the bedroom and scream at the sight of a man standing there. The cowboy who saved me on the side of the road is not only here, minus his trench coat and wearing a snug black T-shirt, he’s bigger and broader than I remember. The bedroom shrinks. My heart races. “I was right,” I accuse, clutching at my towel, the only thing between me and him besides footsteps. “You are a serial killer.” I search for a weapon and I don’t know why there’s a giant flashlight on the nightstand, but it’s long and strong, and I grab it, my new prize. I also manage to drop my towel. Oh my God, I’ve dropped my towel. Goose bumps lift on my naked body and, Lord help me, my nipples pucker. I try to grab my towel and almost drop the flashlight, which is a better weapon than terry cloth. I commit to the flashlight and my state of undress. “I will hit you if you come near me,” I warn. “I mean, kill you.” That sounds unrealistic and therefore lacks the bite I intend. “I will hurt you.” He arches a brow and, to my shock and his credit, he doesn’t so much as blink at anything below my neck. I don’t know if I should be appreciative or offended. Am I not distracting? Am I not worthy of a look? Obviously, my ex didn’t think so and— The cowboy starts walking toward me. “What are you doing? Stay back.” I hold up the flashlight, but I’m the one backing up, hitting the wall with a hard thud. He snatches up my towel and hands it to me, his hand brushing my nipple in the process. I suck in a breath, even as the flashlight is removed from my hand and tossed on the bed. “The game is over. Getting naked won’t stop me from calling the police.” “I’ll knee you. I’ll scream. I’ll—” “You’re standing in my property, sweetheart.” “This is not—” “And yet it is. You picked the wrong house to squat in and the wrong town. I saw where you turned off. I knew where you were headed. Wrong choice, sweetheart.” “Stop calling me sweetheart. And what the hell are you talking about? Squatter? What is a—” A bad feeling hits me. “You think I’m freeloading by sneaking in here and now I’m trying to buy a bed with my naked body? Really?” “If the shoe fits, sweetheart.” I scowl. “Stop calling me sweetheart. Since when do women seducing men try to hit them with a flashlight? Then again, we are talking about you here. I’m pretty sure you could make anyone want to hit you. Maybe that’s the only foreplay you know. A flashlight and a—” “Stop,” he orders, his hands pressing to the wall on either side of me, and now his big body framing my naked body.

This book and I definitely had a love/ hate relationship. I loved watching them "hate" each other. Their arguing was flirting, their bickering was foreplay and their connection was HOT!!
Cowboys make my heart race! A$$hole cowboys make me swoon!!! And yep Jason made me SWOON!! I loved him.
Now Jessica God love her the girl was a bit of a mess with no idea where her life was headed and what she was doing.
Then this A$$hole cowboy sweeps her off her feet right into the mud. Immediate sparks!!
He had a boatload of his own issues.

Watching them fight and love and fight again maybe this a great story! But the sweet meddlesome Grandmother made me smile and grounded them! She was my favorite part.

Cannon Freeman, the man we loved and hated in the Dirty Billionaire and Dirty Girl books is finally getting his own story! I may have squealed when this beauty showed up in my kindle.

Cannon is a black sheep in more ways than one. He is the bastard son of a mob boss who won’t publicly claim him and he is a black sheep to the rest of the world because of his ties to his fathers ‘business’. Cannon is good at his job, and he can spot a liar from miles away. Which is something Drew Carson fears.

Drew is a reporter who is undercover. She needs some answers. She gets a job at. Cannons club. But when the sparks fly between these two they both have reasons to keep secrets from the other. But when those secrets come to light, it will change both of their worlds forever.

As always Meghan kept me on the edge of my seat with this one! Even knowing it was going to be a cliff hanger before I started I was still not ready for the ending and suspense I got!! I didn’t think I’d love Cannon as much as I thought I would. But damn does Maryann have a way of making those amazingly bad boys seem sweet!!

Bring on White Knight!!

This series has become my favourite Bully Book of 2019. If easily give it 6 stars and I've not read the final book yet.
Siobhan has a great way with words. She knows how to create an intriguing story with lots of drama and twists throughout it all. Every book she's wrote has been a masterpiece and this is no exception.
I hate I've got to wait for the final part of the story.
I was kept in the edge of my seat throughout the book. I was swept up in the story and characters.
This review is really hard to write as I don't want to give away any spoilers but I will say the story does pick up right where book one ends and you won't be left disappointed.
Siobhan Davis is a master with words and has a twisted mind.

He thinks he’s broken me. That I’m finally under his complete control. But I’m biding my time, gathering intel, making plans, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. So, when an unexpected savior appears—offering me a way out—I grasp it with both hands.
But the man I love refuses to let me go, and he’s hell-bent on protecting me at all costs.
Except he’s far too late.
Kaiden’s betrayal fuels the anger flowing through my veins, and now our roles are reversed—I’m the hunter, and he’s my prey. I enjoy torturing him, lying to him, and letting him believe in false truths that were never our reality.
Until the stakes are raised, and I’m forced into playing their game again. Only this time, it’s not just my life hanging in the balance.
I thought he’d done his worst. That he didn’t have the power to hurt me anymore.
But I was wrong.
His depravity knows no bounds, and now, he’s taken everything from me.
This time, it means war, and I’m taking no prisoners.

Excerpt:
He shoots me a shit-eating grin Jackson would be proud of as he locks the door and stalks toward me. “What the fuck does it look like?” “Like you’re crazy as shit and have a death wish,” I say, backing away from him. His eyes are thick with lust, his body cloaked in anger, and he wears it proudly like body armor. I scramble around desks as I avoid capture. All the while he advances. Like this menacing form hell-bent on punishing me. Liquid lust races through me, and my core pulses with a desperate need. I love it when he’s like this. Looking at me like he wants to fuck me so hard I’ll bleed. My body purrs in anticipation as my back slams against a solid obstacle. I know I’m sick and twisted, but I think that’s why we’re so well matched. He wants to punish me, and I want to be punished.
