Final book in The Southern Heroes Series!
I don’t play games. If I see something I want, I go for it.
After my late wife passed away, I haven’t been attracted to another woman. That’s until I come face to face with Chloe Jordaan with her sassy mouth and larger than life personality.
She’s the complete opposite of me.
I’m not afraid to commit, where Chloe’s the epitome of ‘Bad Girl.’ I’m rational and serious, where Chloe’s carefree and fun.
She keeps reminding me we’re only friends with benefits, but I can’t stop myself from wanting to make her mine.
She’s everything I shouldn’t want but turns out to be exactly what I need.
Will the South African Bad Girl ever fall for the American Alpha Hero?

REVIEWER; HEIDI
RATING: 5 STARS

This book just did it for me!!! Look the whole series was
brilliant but this one specific hit all the right notes .
The cover gave me goosebumps ! Zac already had a special
place in my heart but even more so now , damn he is HOT !!!

Being South African myself the element of Afrikaans was
brilliant , there are some things that you van best express in
Afrikaans !
I loved how Michelle embraced both cultures and even
though we both speak English  we speak different English ,
let me give you an example we call it a “nappy” the Americans
call it a “diaper” we call it “jam “ they call it “jelly”
We call it “robot” they call it “traffic light” , I can go on an
on …

Let me not lose focus though and keep to the story ….Zac
and Chloe are both have their share of baggage but their
journey towards each other is beautiful , laced with love ,
laughter ,tears , confusion sprinkled with  a dash of suspense
These people started off as characters but ended up a family !

Thank you Michelle Heard for a five star series !

This is the conclusion of Lou and Hutch’s story and I was in desperate need of this book, after the shock I got in the first ending I needed to know what was going to happen!!

I really loved Lou and Hutch and I wanted to know how they were going to overcome all that stood in their way! I loved that Hutch didn’t give up on Lou, he was always there and waited for her. Lou, poor girl had a rough time after she left Hutch.

I loved the conclusion of the story so much!! I only had one issue with the story and that was that Ava Rose was not in as much of the story as I thought she should have been. But I still loved the story none the less!

I also loved that we got to see the girls from the Sin series!! I missed them so much!! I loved that Lou got to make more friends and she couldn’t have made friends with better people!!

In the end I would 100% recommend this to all lovers of romance. I love all of Georgia Cates books and this duet is amazing!!!

Excerpt:

I open my office door and the woman is sitting in one of the chairs facing my desk. My eyes are drawn to the back of her long straight blond hair and my first thought is that it’s Cora. But then I remember that Cora’s hair isn’t that long. Or platinum blond.
“My apologies, Miss Morata. I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”
“Being made to wait implies that your time is more important than mine. And I assure you that my time is very important. And expensive. Ask any of my clients and they’ll tell you so.”
Her accent is strange. Is she faking a Scottish burr?
“I assure you I’m not under the impression that your time is less important than mine or anyone else’s.” I come around the chair and offer my hand. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaint—.”
Green-brown hazel eyes. Long lashes. Nose adorned with a few scattered freckles.
Perfect. Red. Lips.
My wife.
My wife wearing a platinum blond wig?

RATING:  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If ever you've been abused or know of someone who's been abused this book will hit you hard.....

Be warned this is a hard read....

The most common question asked "Why don't you just leave?" Well  you can't  you believe you're a bad as he tells you ,you believe you deserve the punishment......you believe you're not good enough ..... one will never understand unless you've been there how do I know this? Because I've been there ......

Isabel isn't safe and Adam picks up on  her fear , he's all to familiar with it .....he wants to save her....

My heart was in a million pieces for Isabel ,her mother is just as bad as her husband and I couldn't help but want to b@$%^ slap her mother....despite her abuse she never  becomes an abuser, so many do ...

I cried so much reading this book  and the words that still stay with me "I  was lost until you saved me "

Excerpt

Once Sophie’s arm is a casted and she’s discharged, Isabel and I let her know they aren’t going back home.
“Sophie,” Isabel begins, “we’re going to Dr. Patterson’s house. He wants to make you a yummy dinner for being such a brave girl.”

Sophie’s a smart little girl, she doesn’t believe her mother for a minute.
“Hey, Sophie, do you like ice cream?” I give Isabel a wink because I have an idea, kneeling in front of Sophie I wait patiently for her response.
“I like ice cream, why?” I chuckle. Nothing gets past this one, Isabel is in trouble when she gets older.
“I need to go to the store before we head to my house. I was hoping you would help me pick an ice cream flavor.”
“Ice cream? For after dinner?”
“Yes, but you have to be good and listen to Mommy,” I respond. I feel like I’m negotiating with a terrorist. As long as Sophie feels comfortable, I see it as a win.
I look over at Isabel and see her attempting to stifle a laugh. When I turn back to Sophie, she seems deep in thought.
“How about ice cream and a movie?”
“Ms. Sophie, you have a deal.” I reach my hand out and we shake, closing the deal.
All three of us  load into my truck with bright smiles. As soon as we hit the freeway entrance heading back toward base, Isabel begins to panic.
“What if he sees us! We go to Target near base all the time. He’ll know what I did and take her from me.”
“Mommy, it otay. We be otay.” Sophie attempts to reassure her mother buckled into the borrowed car seat in the back.
“Baby, we’ll never be okay. He always finds us. We belong to him,” she whispers as she turns to me with panic in her eyes, “please just take us back. We can pretend this never happened. Maybe he won’t beat me badly this time for defying him.”
Rage courses through my body, I grip the steering will. “You. Will. Never. Go. Back. There.” I growl through clenched teeth, Isabel immediately shrinks into the corner of the passenger seat. Realizing I need to calm down and ease her concerns, I pull over to the side of the road. Once I have the truck in park, I turn the overhead light on, both of them stare at me with frightened eyes,
“I’m sorry for scaring you. My anger gets the better of me when I think of everything he has done and could continue to do to both of you if you ever go back there.” I reach out my hand toward Isabel, palm up, in hope that she realizes I mean no harm. “We aren’t going anywhere near the base. I live in Poulsbo, which although close to base, I find most people don’t venture out that far if there is no need. We can go to the Walmart there.”
Isabel looks between the seats at Sophie, “If you are still afraid, I can take you to my house and you can make a list of things you will need. I can get them for you from the store or we can even call the woman’s shelter I told you about before. They have emergency kits available for the first forty-eight hours we can make use of.”
Looking between the two of them, I can almost hear the silent communication going on between them — it’s a conversation I had with my mother many times over. Sophie willing her mother to accept the help I am willing to provide and Isabel looking at her daughter, wondering if she is just putting her in more danger from her abusive father. I sigh before starting the truck again and pulling into on coming traffic, “I will take you anywhere you want to go, except back to the hospital and into the arms of your abuser. You are finally free — both of you. I’ll do everything in my power to ensure you stay that way.”

REVIEWER: KIM
RATING: 4.5 STARS

The first thing is say about this book is it was absolutely hilarious. I found myself laughing non stop from beginning to end. The banter between the couple was brilliant. The book was balanced out though with how heart warming and steamy it was also.
Once I started the book I couldn't put it down. The author certainly knows how to create a good story and characters and Skyler and Abe were no exception.
She was a super sweet guy that you couldn't help but love. He makes time to help his friends find love but has no time to find someone for himself. He however meets a random girl and something about her makes him start feeling differently.
Skyler is a nice down to earth girl who you like straight away. She wants a guy so her friend sets her up on a dating app. She finds a great guy who she loves talking to and gets on well with him. This guy being Abe. Sadly when they meet things don't exactly go to plan. There relationship although full of fun and banter it isn't smooth sailing for them.
The Douchebag series is fantastic and each book offers you something different. I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy this book. It's a great feel good story.

Blurb:

Jack and I, we did everything backward. The day he lured me into his office-which was also the first day we met-he proposed. You'd think a guy who looked like him-a bit cold maybe, but still striking and very unattainable-would only ask the love of his life to marry him, right? You'd think he must be madly in love.
Nope. It was me he asked. A complete stranger who had never even heard of him. A stranger who had been dumped by her fiancé only weeks before. You'd think I'd laugh in his face, call him insane-and a few other names-then walk away as quickly as possible. Well…I did all those things except the walking away part.
It took him only minutes to talk me into a business deal…erm, I mean marriage, and only days for us to officially tie the knot. Happiest day of my life. Magical. Pop the champagne… Not. It was the worst day. Jack Hawthorne was nothing like what I'd imagined for myself.
I blamed him for my lapse in judgment. I blamed his eyes, the ocean blue eyes that looked straight into mine unapologetically, and that frown on his face I had no idea I would become so fascinated with in time.
It wasn't long after he said I was the biggest mistake of his life that things started to change. No, he still didn't talk much, but anyone can string a few words together. His actions spoke the loudest to me. And day after day my heart started to get a mind of its own.
One second he was no one. The next he became everything.
One second he was unattainable. The next he seemed to be completely mine.
One second I thought we were in love. The next it was still nothing but a lie.
After all, I was Rose and he was Jack. We were doomed from the very beginning with those names. Did you expect anything else?

I''m not sure sure who the guy on  the cover is but damn is he is fine specimen!!!

This must be one of my favourite reads of all time for me !

So Rose only had her dad,her mum left when she was little and
then when he passed away she went  to live with her uncle
look they weren't cruel but they weren't kind ,they were indifferent 💔

When her uncle passes away there's  a few technical glitches regarding an agreement
they had but her saviour comes in a suite ....Jack Hawthorne ,
did I mention he's mighty fine ?!?!?!

Jack came up with a crazy idea but one I just loved   I'm such a sap .....😂

I loved Jack right from the time I met him and Rose gives him a run for his money !
They made me laugh   they made me cry  they even made me mad !
They're my perfect couple ❤

This is a read I'll shout about from rooftops! Keep your coffee and desert treats on hand 😉

Excerpt:

“I need to leave,” I repeated. Then, thinking it would simply be a good distraction, a good show for her employee and even sort of a practice for the charity event we’d be attending, I slid my arm around her waist. Her eyes were slightly widened in alarm, her entire body stiff, but at least she wasn’t jumpy like she had been at our first outing. Slowly her body relaxed, and she arched her back so she could look up at me with those big eyes.
A simple and meaningless touch would have to be acted out more naturally at one point in our fake marriage, almost as if touching her or kissing her in front of other people would become second nature. Practice was good.
“Thank you for the coffee. It’s always the best,” I murmured, having trouble looking away. Then I leaned down and hesitated for a heartbeat before I pressed a lingering kiss on her forehead as she was still looking up at me in confusion. That spot felt like it was the most harmless one and I took my time, breathing in her sweet and fresh scent. When I pulled back, one of her hands was resting against my chest, the other one clutching my arm. Her chest rising and falling, she blinked up at me.
Taking her hand that had ended up on my chest, I opened her fingers, my fingertip catching on her wedding ring. Why did such a simple and, in our situation, meaningless thing give me so much pleasure to see? She wasn’t mine, but the idea of it…the possibility… I placed the money on her still red palm before gently closing her fingers around the bill. Surprisingly, she didn’t say a word, just kept staring up at me as if she was lost. Was she just as affected as Iwas by our pretending?
“Don’t take it off, okay? I like seeing it on your finger,” I whispered.
I had already forgotten about the people around us. This wasn’t so much for them but more for me, I thought, just so I could see that soft look on her face. I cupped her cheek and leaned down enough so I could whisper in her ear. “Was that the right amount of PDA for our fake marriage? A small intimate kiss, you said, right? Arm around the waist? Bodies close, but not touching?” I lifted my head up enough so I could meet her eyes and, in a louder voice, said, “Don’t stay on your feet for too long—you’re still limping.”
She didn’t look like she was going to say anything, so I pushed a little more.
“Can you at least say goodbye to your husband?”
“Uh…I should, shouldn’t I? Goodbye?”
After wishing a good day to everyone who didn’t have the decency to mind their own business, I left.
Yes, practice was good.

About the Author: I love nothing more than to escape real life to find those very few magical moments in a book. I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face even when smiling is the last thing on your mind. Crushing on fictional characters is also another bonus. Through my words, if I can manage to make even one person smile, it means I’ve done my job well.
Writing became my world and I can’t imagine myself doing anything other than creating new characters and telling their stories. You know how some things simply make your heart burst with happiness? A really good book, a puppy, hugging someone you’ve been missing like crazy? That’s what writing does to me. And all the hard work, all the sleepless nights, all the anxiety that comes with publishing…everything is worth it at the end.

RELEASE BLITZ: Well Suited by Staci Hart

BT banner.jpg

Well Suited, the final standalone in the Red Lipstick Coalition Series from Staci Hart, is available now!

well-suited-illustrated-sm (1).jpg

Chemistry is my love language.
I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love.
And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.
I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.
When: approximately five weeks ago. Who: one night stand. How: prophylactic malfunction.
The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.
Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and dominant. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.
And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.
I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.
But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.
And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

REVIEWER: TAMMI
RATING:  5 stars

I loved this series! This one is most definitely my favorite!
Theo and Kate didn't have a typical start and that was hard for Kate, she was organized and everything in her life was planned and thought out.
Then came Theo and a prophylactic malfunction!
I loved watching Kate fall into the unpredictable unorganized way her life was going. She did not fall gracefully, she fought it and was an adorable mess!!
God love Theo! he had the patience of a saint balancing her through her emotional craziness.
She had a plan and it all went to H3LL. I loved it. I was so happy, they were so happy.
Until they weren't and was in tears my heart was breaking, their hearts were breaking!!
But in true Staci Hart fashion Love won out, they figured it out and all was right in my romance loving world.
It was bittersweet finishing this book. I love these characters. I am going to miss them.
