Not what I am used to from this author but still so good!! Friends to Lovers is one of my favorite tropes especially when they are life long friends that grew up together
Leo and Mila are best friends in every sense of the phrase. Their story is fun and a bit emotional at times.
M. Robinson proved she is a very versatile author. She nailed this Rom-Com!!
So glad it's a series, I really like these characters. The next one looks to be a lot of fun.

"Would I leave behind a novella, or would it be a nine-book series that would need your undivided attention?"  I have to admit, this made me laugh.  Placed in the prologue of Sancte Diaboli I couldn't but help think - how appropriate.  

Sancte Diaboli is book 6 in the Elite Kings series. So yeah, if you've made it this far then you know what you're dealing with. Dark. Dirty. Dangerous. Seriously, this is not the fluffy side of romance.  

Brantley Vitiosis is the devil. I can think of many adjectives to describe Brantley based off the first 5 books in the series, and I have to admit that caring was never one of them. Until Saint. Raised by the devil himself, Saint is the epitome of innocence. With the sole purpose of keeping her safe, Brantley has successfully kept Saint a secret for 15 years but now it is now time to indoctrinate her into the EKC world. 

Sancte Diaboli is the first of Brantley's books - which means we get to see a lot of the relationship basics, along with the history from the rest of the gang. The whole gang is here and we get to see them all falling into their roles. 

Bishop and Madison are...well, you'll see. And Nate and Tillie are, yeah...

We get to see a slightly different side of Brantley and Bishop in this book (and i loooove it!) but no spoilers because we're talking book 6 and you have to be invested at this point. If you haven't started the series and you love dark and twisted, Book 1 is The Silver Swan. 

And now we wait (impatiently) for book 7...because CLIFFY.

Villain of Secrets was a great addition to the Verona Legacy series. I love this series and couldn’t wait to get my hands on Nora and Enzo’s story. This was a great read. I love a bad boy and Enzo fit that bill to a T. I couldn’t put this one down; I had to know how it would end. 

Nora is the kind of girl that everyone gravitates towards. Enzo is a bad boy with mafia ties. They both have some issues from their pasts to deal with. When they are forced together by fate they discover that they have undeniable chemistry. Nora can see past the darkness and into  his soul. Enzo is the villain and doesn’t know how to love. This makes for some huge obstacles to overcome. Their story is filled with drama, angst, and darkness. I felt every emotion and pain they went through. I loved their story. I cannot wait to see what’s next from Ms Cotton.

“Needed you, Gattina.” I tucked my chin into the crook of her neck and breathed her in.

“Why do you call me that?”

“Because you’re soft right here.” My fingers dipped to Nora’s navel and stroked her smooth skin.

Another new series by Lacey Black?! Heck yes!! I was so excited to get this book on my kindle! I fell in love with Laceys books a  year ago and I have devoured them all! I couldn’t wait to get into Walker and Mallory’s book! 

Walker loves his life, he co-owns a restaurant and bar in a small town. He loves his job. Malloy is his employee and when he meets her his world is turned upside down. He can’t stop thinking about her and he daughter. Mallory makes him want a life he never before dreamed of.

Mallory knows Walker is off limits, he is her boss. But he makes it so hard to resist when he is so good to her and her daughter. 

This slow burn love story made its way to the top spot in my Lacey Black book love list! I loved the Summer sisters but Walker and Mallory stole my heart! 

I can’t wait to get more from this troupe of people!! I loved all the differences and I honestly am so excited to see how all of their stories play out!!

Chapter One

Walker

At exactly eleven o’clock, I slip a quarter into the old jukebox on the back wall. The bar is silent as they await tonight’s selection. My bar, my choice, and tonight, I’m feeling a little rowdy. The opening melody of “Dr. Feelgood” blasts through the speakers, resulting in a loud cheer from tonight’s patrons. As I make my way back behind the bar, I get a few high fives from the guys and even more phone numbers slipped into my palm from the ladies. I wish I could confirm they’re all single, but the truth is they’re not.

Just a typical Saturday night at Burgers and Brew, the place I co-own with my three best friends. We all have our forte within the business, and mine’s behind the bar. Mixing drinks and slinging beers. That’s my life, and damn, what a life it is.

I slap Jasper on the back as I slide under the bar and jump right back in to filling drink orders. Everyone’s singing along, word for word to the ol’ 80’s hair band tune, as part of our weekend ritual. It’s an ode, a salute to our college days and the band we all grew up listening to. We built this business, taking an old brick building in downtown Stewart Grove and turning it into a staple.

Jasper’s the man in the kitchen, the one who comes up with the mouthwatering burger creations we’re known for. Isaac is the numbers guy, the man who keeps us in the black and our taxes completed on time. Jameson’s the muscle because he’s big and tattooed. But he’s more than that. Jameson is talented as fuck with a guitar and serves as our house musician Friday and Saturday nights. Then there’s me. Walker Meyer, bartender extraordinaire, who keeps the beer flowing, the panties melting, and the tips rolling in.

We’re the Brew Crüe, and damn proud of it.

“Dance, dance, dance, dance,” the crowd starts to chant, encouraging me to do what I do every weekend when we play Mötley Crüe.

Dance.

When I glance over at Jasper, he’s already shaking his head, but there’s no missing his wide grin. He knows what’s coming. Placing my hands on the bar top, I jump, hoisting myself up on the aged oak. Patrons erupt into cheers as I grin down at them. Mostly, at the ladies. The single ones and even the not-so-single ones. No, I’m not taking any of them home, but that doesn’t mean I can’t give them one hell of a show.

I twist my ballcap around so it’s on backward and start to swing my hips. Mama blessed me with moves, which helps almost double my tips every night. Women go crazy for a man who can dance. That’s evident by the number of panties that’ll be thrown behind the bar in a matter of moments.

Swaying my hips, I do a little dip and grind, popping my ass out and sending the ladies in the front row into cardiac arrest. They scream and reach for my pant legs, digging their nails into the denim. Instead of shaking them off, I wink and carefully walk a few steps away. Then, when we get to the refrain in the song, I throw my arms out to the side and belt out the words, everyone singing along with me.

It’s like karaoke.

But better.

As the song winds down, I steal the drink in Jasper’s hand and hold it up over my head. Everyone in the bar does the same. We sing. I dance and drink. The panties start flying.

Oh...My...Nico!! 

As always Natasha has sucked me in and had me so enthralled with Nico and Becca's story that once I started, I couldn't put it down. I've always been intrigued by these two secondary characters and super excited to get their story. 
I swear every time I read one of Natasha's books, that hero always became my favorite, and this story was no exception. Natasha knows how to paint a picture with words that almost makes you think you're watching a movie. 
I absolutely love a good friends to lovers tale, but I will say that they're not totally friends, well okay, but more like casual ones. Then one day...Bam! Everything changes and OMG did my Kindle practically catch on fire because of these two...Yowza! 
Not to give anything away because you just need to experience it, be prepared for a rollercoaster. Becca and Nico are both dedicated to their careers, but once they act on their attraction look out. They're perfectly matched for each other.

Hope’s River is the first book in the new series Hope River. Hope is doing well and seems content in her life until one day she isn’t. That’s how she ends up in the small town of Hope River. She runs into an old acquaintance from high school, River. She tries to stay away from him since they don’t have the best past together but living in a small town makes that almost impossible.

This book was a fun, lighthearted read. It had a little angst but was mostly a romcom. It’s a great second chance, small town romance and can be read as a standalone. It also introduced some great characters for the next books in the series that I cannot wait to get to know more about.

“I’m sick of you pushing me away. Get out of the way of our happiness, Hope. We need each other.” His fingers find their way inside of me, and I suck in a breath as he plays and brings me to the brink of having an orgasm. Right here in a fucking vegan restaurant.

Wait, is it really hot in here? Has someone turned the heat on?

I just adore Lylah James !!!!!

Now I’m not sure if it was my emotional state at the time of reading Vow of Hate but I was rather tearful from start to end 🤷‍♀️🙈😂

This style had a regency feel to it for me and it just added to the atmosphere for me and made me love it more !!!!!

My heart was broken for Julianna , her loss and treatment at the hand of others .... her self loathing , her desire for atonement,her scars ....

Killian Spencer , a dark and brooding man , just like his horse got that matter .... there were times I just wanted to sucker punch him for being rude , cruel and mean but there’s a side to him that he eventually lets me see and I fall in love 🥰 

I thought I had it all figured out but there were a few unexpected plot twists that left me reeling and mind blown ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😱 so much so I flipped back a few pages and reread them to make sure I read it right 🙈😂
