This book was not at all what I thought it would be when I started. It had me near tears and then laughing. I loved the main characters, they are flawed and perfect in all their imperfections. 

This book is about lust and love and loss and decoding that perfection is different for everyone. What others think of you means nothing at the end of the day, if you are happy with your life.

I can’t and won’t spoil this book for readers, just trust me and read it!!

This was a great start to a new series from Layla Hagen!! I loved getting to know these two main characters, Natalie and Jake! These two had so much good banter between them! 

I love that Jake’s grandmother is so meddlesome and and between her and the stars align these two find love!

What a story!!

I wasn’t ready for this book when I opened it. I was hit with so much so early on. The drama was intense with raw emotion. I was angry with it throughout and I wanted to stop reading and threw my kindle at points. It was wickedly good, gritty and complex. It was a rollercoaster read though as there was sweetness and happiness with some sexy sexy sexy parts. The angst was on point which I loved.

The book had so many layers. Just when you think you know everything, something else builds on top of it.

I have been waiting for this one since the first book in the series. I knew it would be good but I wasn't prepared. I knew they had history they've known each other since childhood but I didn't know the depths of history this author would go.
I loved their banter and bickering that was all straight up sexual tension. Once we broke through that they were HOT!
I wasn't prepared to end this book a blubbering mess. A scary situation led to a break down that broke my heart.
BUT
I ended this book with heart warming tears running down my face. Tears for the past, tears for the future and tears as I watched our heroine take healing steps toward her much deserved HEA.
