Whistle is the final installment in the Westbrook Elite series.  This is book 8 in the series that has me on pins and needles waiting for the next book for 2 years straight!  Side note: While each couple has their own book and can be read separately, the plotlines build on each other and create more depth in each book as you go through the series - since this is the last book, you might not want to start here.  

This story follows Emmett, our favorite whistle-blowing head coach and Bodhi, Rush's former best friend and apparently Elite's newest swimmer. Whistle is an emotional and slightly angsty story which does result in featuring at least a few trauma lattes. The ever present loyalty of the swim team is alive and well, even with their coach being the main focus.  

They dynamic here is most definitely how I hoped this story would flow based - it's almost like Hebert was reading my mind.  Butthen again, she built Emmett's character, I guess she is just that skilled as a wordsmith. 

The storyline is well thought out, and not cringy like some age gap novels can be. I loved this "ending" to the series, though I would love to see more about this awesome group of characters.  

I can't wait to see where Hebert takes us next....

Oh I love a I love a tall dark and deviously handsome man!
Luke Jameson fits the bill, he is his father's son every way.
A bad boy that you fall HARD for!
Duchess was a bad a$$ and then I learned her story.
My heart broke for everything that happened in her past and continued. She was cruelly treat by the one who should love you the most.
Together the were perfect!!
Fantastic story from beginning to end I could not put my Kindle down.

My favourite genre by my favourite author has now become my favourite book of the year so far.
Tristan and Emily’s connection was instant. I liked the build up of there relationship and that Emily didn’t make it easy for Tristian like what happens in most rocker stories. She really made him work even to just be friends.
Tristisn had started to become bored of the rocker life and all the girl Groupies every night but when he met Emily he stopped the girls altogether, even before they were friends as he felt a strong connection with Emily. He didn’t know why though especially as she was a lot younger than him.
I enjoyed how the story played out.

With the second book in the Leblanc Brothers series, we head back to New Orleans to see Julian meet his match. 


Georgie and her family have been in charge of Julian’s company’s Mardi Gras floats for years, and in New Orleans Mardi Gras floats are a BIG deal. When Julian makes a change to who’s in charge of the float, Georgie is understandably pissed. Since that meant the rest of the businesses they were set to work with, pulled their business. After Julian gets his ass chewed by Georgie, he’s determined to help her get the rest of her clients back. 


I loved getting to fall back in love with the world Layla Hagen created in book one. The banter between these two was on fire and I loved how their relationship grew a throughout the book! The Grans were still meddling and dang it brought the hilarity!


The epilogue was chefs kiss and made me even more excited for Xander’s story!!
