We get to head back to Seaside with this novella by Rachel Van Dyken and it was a welcome trip!! I missed this little town! 

Branden has been in the spotlight since he was sixteen. But now he is crippled by stage-fright and it could derail his bands upcoming tour, enter Piper Rayne. 

Piper is a life coach and she has a vision board for everything but she isn’t totally prepared for the ways Branden temps her while she tries to help him.

I really loved the chemistry between these two. It was a quick novella so giving a lengthy review would definitely give too much of the story away but I will say that these two fit in with the Seaside Pictures world and I loved getting to revisit this world!

I have had a book wreck me before but this one nearly destroyed me!!
My heart broke for Cash
My heart broke for Journey 
I watched as they broke individually and as a couple.
But one part almost did me in, I couldn't breathe. I was in shock!! What did this author do!!
It's M. Robinson and she will pull every bit of emotion out of you and make you want to curl up and cry
BUT
She will fix you!!
And slowly with tears rolling down my face she mended my heart and gave me Cash and Journey our HEA.

Lane was the quiet brother almost in the background in Logans books. But he gave us that loveable Lexi and she out shines everyone stealing your attention and your heart. She is his whole world!
This book let's us see another side is Lane, a dark side, a sexy side and some insight in his past.
Insight is the wrong word because His Past has come back with big secrets and big problems.
Her name is Seinna and I just love her. She has lived through things that would break and destroy a weaker woman. But she survived it all to protect her own.
I have to say is the family bonds are strong in this book and the others. These brothers are loyal and protective!!

PROLOGUE

Lane

“Do I look like a man who gives a shit that’s a two thousand dollar bottle of bourbon? I told you to give me the whole damn bottle.” A breath of disgust passes through my clenched teeth. More of it’s about ready to slip out of my lungs if I don’t get the hell out of this room to breathe some fresh air.

I’m two point five seconds from causing a scene at this farce of a wedding by reaching across the bar and crushing the bartender’s windpipe the minute he turns back around. All the while shouting to everyone that the bride will never love the groom the way she does me.

“Sienna.” Her name leaks out of my aching chest in a barely-there whisper.

“And I told you Mr. Ricci said to cut people off if I thought they had too much. You’ve had enough, pal.” He spins on his feet, daring to stare me down.

I’m not this asshole’s pal. I’m nothing but a miserable man who needs to drink myself into a stupor. He happens to be in my way.

I contemplate jumping over this bar to take my frustration out on his face or scare the shit out of him.

Either way, I will have that bottle.

“I’ll show you, pal, when I ram this down your throat. Do you have a problem with giving me the bourbon now?” I flash my gun, not bothering to thank him when he raises his hands in surrender, grabs my drink of choice, and slides it across the smooth top of the bar.

I hated guns about as much as I hated having to attend this wedding. The problem was, tonight, I wanted to strap it to my side in case I decided to pull the trigger and shoot the groom in the back of the head as he stood at the altar. Now, I wish I had.

Sienna is married, my life, my girl is married.

Fuck.

“Wise choice, asshole.” I snatch hold of it, fingers itching like a bitch to walk up to the groom, dump it over his head and light him on fire.

Yeah, I had a problem with the groom.

I hated his guts. He has my only regret, my life, my everything in his arms.

At twenty years old, I had a list a mile long of regrets, most of them having one thing or another to do with the bride.

Regret number one, she was as much the forbidden fruit as tempting, and I was that much of a dumb ass like Adam was with Eve to take a bite. I knew the commandments and broke them anyway by touching the woman with hair the same color as the apple.

Flaming red.

She’s poisoned me for life.

The woman should be mine instead of some made man’s in her father’s mafia. Bastard jumped at the chance to slide a ring on her finger within two months after I made the biggest mistake of my life.

I might be able to handle it if he wasn’t a piece of scum, I think, to be a traitor. If only I had the proof to back up my instincts. The only thing I have is how my blood boiled every time he shook my hand and smiled with a sinister look in his eyes.

If I find out he’s fucking with my family or trying to destroy what they’ve built, I’ll blow a hole right between those demonic looking eyes.

Taking a swig, I spin around, keeping my eyes on the door, determined to not only look at the bridal table but to take my pity party for one as far away from the glam, glitter, and the celebration as I can get. I need to be drunk and forget about watching the gorgeous woman dressed in white walking down the aisle toward a man I know damn well she doesn’t love.

No. That love will always belong to me.

I need to forget the hurt on her face when she found out what I did at Behind Closed Doors; the sex club me and my brothers own. I need to forget how I should have never fallen for a girl years ago when I knew I couldn’t keep her.

I need to learn how to live my life full of regrets. I need to forget Sienna Ricci ever existed and move on.

If I don’t, I’ll likely get us and a slew of other people I care about killed.

Despite the fact that this book ripped my heart out ,chewed it and spat it out it does have a HEA


I think I was sooooooo emotionally invested in this story because I myself am an organ donor and feel very strongly about this subject and my eldest daughter was born with a defective kidney which was picked up in utero.....

I loved the note from the author, it felt like she was allowing us into her heart by sharing a bit of herself and her story  ....🤗🥰


Faith didn't have an easy childhood but she rose above her circumstances and made something of herself , often people who don't have a good start wallow in their circumstances but not our girl she grabbed life with both hands and ran with it . She's strong, she's a survivor, she has heart ,she has love, she is an inspiration....I think you get the picture, not all heroes wear capes!


Dillion our golden boy ,one of a twin , life took a tragic turn for him and his family but at least he had family , a support system which our Faith didn't , he's not a bad boy by no means but he is someone who is hurting.....


Dillion +Faith = a story that will always remain close to my heart ,I sobbed buckets reading their story , not all tears were sad though and I did laugh and cheer as well . If I have to be honest , each character meant something to me and played a meaningful role ❤

Sigh! I loved this book. A sweet love story! A perfect love story! Books like this one are why romance is my favorite genre.
Tia Louise gave me a story will some of my favorite elements. Second chance at a first young love, a bit forbidden best friends brother, military, small town and more. This book had it all. A bit of angst to keep meturning pages and screaming WHY at the author.
But just as she always does I get a perfect HEA from this author.
I finished reading,wiped my happy tears, hugged my Kindle and Sighed!

Another fun cowboy story in the Valentine Brothers series.
Lani lynn Vale saved the best for last. I was curious about Darby through the whole series. The baby, the wild child of the bunch he intrigued me.
I loved his story! I loved seeing him reconnect with a girl from his past but not a past love. He saw her in a new light and Waylynn was perfect for him.
Its bittersweet though, it's the last in the series. I am going to miss this sweet group of cowboys. BUT like the author wrote in the book Never Say Never.....
