Review Tour for On The Rocks by Alyssa Rose Ivy

ON THE ROCKS Synopsis:

Love is best served on the rocks.

My roommates look really good naked. At least one of them does. I’m sure the other one does too, but I haven’t seen him without his pants on. Living with two guys wasn't something I’d ever considered, but the opportunity fell in my lap, and I’d have been crazy to turn it down.

College went by in a great big blur leaving me with less of a direction than I had going in. Add in a family that wanted nothing to do with me, and my post-college plans were less than clear. What’s a girl to do when she has nowhere else to turn? She moves to the Outer Banks and learns to bartend. After all, it was my horrible bartending skills that led me to my roommate’s bed and into his heart.

This was a very good read for me.  I finished this one in a few hours and seemed to be pretty hard for me to put down.  I love when you are able to get into the book since page one.

The characters were so free spirited and easy going in this book that you just flowed with them.

Carly is running from home.  Her parents have always favored her older sister Kim and it seems like Kim is married to a douche bag and because of him, Carly took off and ended up on her brother, Colin's doorstep.  Colin has always backed up his sisters no matter what, so he gladly let Carly in when she showed up unexpected.

Colin has been dating Maddy and he wants her to move in with him.  She, on the other hand isn't too keen on moving in without having wed first, but little by little her barriers are being broken and she reluctantly accepts to move in with him so Carly will have to find a new place to stay.

Maddy was roommates with Macon and Brody, but now that she plans on moving in with Colin, the boys will have an extra room and who better to fit in than Carly!!

Macon has this bad boy image and everyone thinks he sleeps around all the time.  If they only knew!  Macon hasn't been with anyone the whole summer -- that is until Carly comes into the picture ;)  At first Macon didn't want to pursue Carly because she was Colin's little sister and he didn't want to end up hurting her feelings, but the attraction between them was inevitable and everyone and their mother was telling him to be careful with her and not to hurt her.

Well when Macon finally asked Carly to move in, she accepted in a heartbeat and things seem to have hit off just right between them.  They started off with a great friendship that slowly but surely built up to more than just friendship.

Macon is so cute.  I love how he respected Carly and didn't want to do anything behind anyone's back and he officially asked her brother that he wanted to date her.  Colin knew Macon was "classified" as a ladies man but he just warned him not to hurt his sister.

This book was full of fun and I love how every character had a part in the book, even Brody.

I definitely think this is a book worth reading.
