The Second Coming is the first book in the Rogue Academy series. Jude is the epitome of cocky and somewhat immature footballer. His ego is a little too big for his britches and he finds himself in trouble time and time again. Being sent back down to the academy from the elite team should be a wakeup call...but is it?
Aria the conservative seamstress, hides her beauty in plain sight while working her fingers to the bone. Struggling to keep her head above water she is determined to get her dad healthy and keep a roof over their heads.
I have read every book that Carrie Aaron's has written and even though I liked the book I would have to say it felt like it was missing something. Carrie usually sucks me in on the first page and I have to admit I struggled a bit with this one. It took me several chapters of Aria's perspective to hook me. Jude just didn't hit the usual CA hero status for me.
The Second Coming was an quick, fun, Sports Romance book and a good start to the Rogue Academy series. I think that Ms. Aarons has created a nice build up for some secondary characters and I can't wait to see what plays out in the second book.

Author of romance novels such as Red Card and Privileged, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the stories she dreams up, and the yoga pant dress code, much better.
