We finally get one of the twins stories!!! I was so pumped we were going to get into the head of Rocco!! He is Izzy and James’ son so I knew this was going to be good!!
Rocco and Rebel knew each other years ago, but when tragedy struck they split, now Rebel needs help, but since Rocco had ignored all her attempts at communication in the years since their split, she calls Carmelo, but she comes face to face with Rocco anyway.
I loved that Rebel and was such a strong heroine but she was also so vulnerable. Rebel has more things to protect than her own heart, she has to protect her daughter and her daughters heart. She doesn’t want to let Rocco in again, but the sparks and connection these two have is undeniable.
Rocco hasn’t dealt with the tragedy that tore him and Rebel apart. He thinks he’s over it for the most part, but he still has the nightmares to prove it’s affect on him. When Rebel is back in his life he has to face their history and his actions after the accident.
I loved Roccos adoration for Rebel and her daughter. He was such a good hero and he was so understanding and protective of them!! With this crew of characters humor is a given but I loved that it mixed with the love and steam so well!!
