How beautiful is this cover ?! My heart always skips a few beats when I pick up a JH Croix because I just know I can retreat into my happy book bubble 🥰📕
Mari and scoundrel boyfriend Brett are in New Orleans but Brett is a scammer and dies a runner I. Mari and leaves her near penniless and with a badly mess to clean up but instead of crumbling she’s puts on her big girl knickers and is determined to find him and make him face the music ! That’s how she meets Nash , now he’s got business dealings with her brother Mac and they’re quite friendly and once he sees the predicament she’s but no fault of her own he wants to jump in and help and she really at his mercy because she’s embarrassed and didn’t really want to tell her brother …,,
Now Nash comes across as a real ladies man but he’s not he’s just charming and irresistible, it’s not his fault ladies fawn over him 🥰😂🤷♀️🙈 I know I’m boast but he’s got me around his little finger 😂 anyhoo he sees the trouble mayo is having and he jumps in to help her but there’s more to it I think he felt a little flutter from the get go 😉
So Nash protects Mari , shows her a good time , distracts her and captures her heart ( and mine🥰) with his southern ways and charms , he really is just a great guy !
What a DELIGHTFUL way to spend the day , lost in my book bubble in great company 🥰😉
