This is a swoon worthy, second chance love story with so much heart!! I loved this book for so many reasons!! I don’t want to give much away, so I will keep my review simple.

This book is about Allie Jackson high school sweethearts who broke up years ago. But the love never faded. Jackson is now back in their home town and so is Allie. Jackson is dealing with the end of his successful music career and Allie is building her business and raising her son with life help from her ex husband. 

I loved that these two didn’t really play at their feelings. There was some drama bit nothing that was crazy or over the top. It was great to meet these two amazing characters and get into the world Grayson created!!

I loved this story and I really hope we get more from this world!! I want Jackson’s sister to get a story and I want maybe a a novella about Allie and Jackson a little bit in the future!! I’m not ready to give them up!!

He tosses out another cast. It’s perfect for a little guy and when his lure hits the water he tilts his head and looks at me. “Are you Anna’s daddy?” Crap. I knew this was coming. I take a deep breath and look for Allie because this isn’t the type of conversation I want to have without her. She’s now on the other side of the pond and when she sees me look at her, she waves. My God, she’s beautiful. I wave back. “Are you?” Mason asks again, this time nudging me in the leg. Looks like I’m on my own for this one. Honesty is always the best policy, right? Even with kids? “Yeah, I was her daddy.” He nods and looks at the water while I look at him. Say something, kid. Anything. When he doesn’t, I nudge him back. “Do you want to talk about it? Do you have questions?” Mason shrugs. “Maybe.” “Okay,” I say laughing. “Well, you think about what you want to ask, and I’ll just sit here and wait.” A few seconds pass before he looks at me. “Why are you Anna’s daddy, but not mine?” “Well, because you have a different dad.” “Richard,” he sighs. At that exact moment his line goes taut. “I got something!” I set my pole down, wrap my arms around him, resting my hands over his, the way a father would with his son. Except Mason isn’t mine and I need to remember that. “Give it a little tug,” I say, flicking our wrists. The fish splashes out of the water and yanks the pole. “Nice and easy. Just like that. You’re doing great.” I let him go but stay crouched behind him in case he needs help reeling the fish in, but he doesn’t. Allie hoots and hollers, her pole bobbing on her shoulder as she runs toward us. She makes it to our side just as Mason pulls out the tiniest bass I’ve ever seen and pride surges through me. Luckily the hook comes out with ease. “You did great, buddy. Hold the fish up just like this”—I show him how to hold the fish and he reaches for it like a champ—“and I’ll take a picture of you and your mom.” Mason holds up the fish, a proud smile on his handsome face and his mama’s arm around his shoulder. They smile for the camera and then Mason turns to Allie. “Will you take one of me and Jam?” Allie pulls out her phone while I kneel down. Mason situates himself between my knees and half sits on my leg with the fish dangling from his fingers. “Say fish sticks!” Mason and I laugh and repeat Allie. “Fish sticks!” “Okay, little dude. Let’s toss him back before he dies.” “We can’t keep him?” he says, walking toward the water. “Why would you want to keep him?” “To eat him. Duh.”

I cannot find the words to express how I feel about this book. I loved it the story, the characters, everything!! I have read this author before and this is not the type of story I was expecting and I am most definitely NOT disappointed.

This band of misfit boys and their sweet girl Tweetie stole my heart. They were "corrupt" that makes me laugh because I would want this group in my life. They had a bond that was tighter and more meaningful than any family or blood. 

But underneath they held a secret and that secret led to a fascinating story that I couldn't put down. The back and forth in time slowly revealed the story of five lives brought together by chance and misfortune. Four boys and a girl they would do anything to protect. One love that time or distance couldn't stop! Tweetie and Flip were always meant to be.

I am so overly excited to see this is a series. I want more!! 
I need everyone's story!!

“I’m so bad for you. If I was a good guy, I’d stop. I’d let you be happy.”
I didn’t understand any of what he was saying, but the pain I felt. Deep. In his rocky, strangled voice and his desperate, cracking eyes.
“Whatever it is I’ll understand. If you did something…if something happened…I’ll understand.”
Tell me. Please.

His stare dug into me, and again I was certain he was searching for something. I desperately wanted him to find it.
He exhaled, resigned.

Another sweet perfect love story from Lani Lynn Vale! I love reading her books they are easy to read and hard to put down. Stories that move at a fast pace filling every page with a story I devour. 
This one was cute! Flint and Cameron "hated" each other, the bickered and bumped heads. But it was there an underlying attraction. Yep all that fussing and fighting was foreplay!
Once they admitted and let their feelings out a fun story unfolded.
This author LOVES to give you a bit of drama and action before you get your HEA. And I LOVE that about her books.
This looks to be a great series of sweet swoonworthy Southern Gentlemen.

But it was more... A forbidden romance! Forbidden on multiple levels he was her boss, then her professor. Oh and an age difference! I was fascinating to watch it play out.
Blake **sigh** Broken men always grab my heart, hoping love will heal them, fix them. This one well I thought it would until a meddling ex-bi#@h comes into the picture.

Erin Oh I really liked this sweet independent girl but she has her insecurities and that ex played on them, she nearly crumbled.

Just when I thought all would be ok I am hit with WTH? ending!

Can't wait for the next one!

Cruel Fortune is the second book in the Cruel Trilogy. This book was amazing and had me flipping pages to get to the end. As usual, Ms. Linde, had filled this book with all of the angst, drama, and twists and turns that I expect from her stories.

This book is about Natalie. She’s a best selling author and living out her dreams until her agent says she has to go back to New York City. This is the one place she never wanted to go to again. Her plan was to go take care of her book release and then leave as soon as possible. However she realizes that she needs this city for inspiration for her next book.

I loved this book so much. It had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. It was full of so many twists and turns that my head was spinning wondering how it would end. It is filled with great characters. Some loves me and some reprehensible but they each added so much to the story.


If you are looking for something different in a billionaire story you have to read the Cruel trilogy. I cannot wait to read the last book to see how this all plays out.

I have been waiting for this book. I saw the blurb and was intrigued but the book hadn't released. Uuugh! But wait it's part of a series so I had time to go read the first 2. It was unnecessary because this story could standalone on its own but beneficial for back story on other characters and such.
So anyway here it is I have book that originally started my fascination with this author and her incredible characters.
I loved it!! It was a love story but also a story of strength to overcome your past and loss. (Inner strength seems to be a theme with this author and I LIKE IT!)
Tanner and Charlotte had a bumpy road both had person baggage and needed to get their own heads straight before they were going to be good together. I enjoyed watching them battle inner wars to be together. Tanner was a hothead with a romantic side that made me swoon. Charlotte was a sweet girl with secrets in her that kept her from moving on with a happy life. 
Usually you read a story and broken characters come together and fix each other but in this one they fixed selves so they could be together.
A great story with action packed moments that were a fantastic addition to a beautiful love story.
I hope this series continues! There is a character who needs story and hope he is next!

Charlotte “Watch out!” One of the football-playing boys jumped backwards to reach for his friend’s overthrown pass and crashed into my tray. My soda spilled all over my shirt, soaking the ends of my hair. Sauce from the pizza remnants on my plate smeared against my chest. All the boys shouted in unison, as if they were at a live football game, making me feel all the more horrified. So much for blending in. “Nice throw, dipshit!” Mallory screeched to the boy who had thrown the football. “Come on. We’re going to be late.” I picked up the empty cup from the floor and tossed it into the trash as I walked toward the exit. I took the door Mallory was holding open for me and walked outside. “Alright, how dumb do I look?” “Dumb, no. Wet rat, yes.” Great. We walked briskly down the path, attempting to make it to our building before Professor Ballard started calling attendance. Everyone would already stare at us for walking in after the lecture began; my soaked and sauce-stained shirt would only cause them to stare longer. Just then, I heard the sound of footsteps hitting the sidewalk behind me. Clutching my purse, I spun around. Both confusion and curiosity collided in my mind. Tanner Brooks was chasing after me.
