Release Blitz: Lyric by Molly McAdams

Lyric

A stand-alone romance novel in the Rebel series – a Redemption series spin-off

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .
I’m not the kind of girl you forget.
I wish I was.
I wish I was normal.
That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…
Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.
For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.
But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.
Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.
And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.
My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

This was another cute and funny story by Meghan Quinn! It was in my opinion far too short.

Calder’s life is all about his daughter. His world revolves around her and her life. So when he meets Rachel he doesn’t want to merge his new romance with her with his daughter. He isn’t ready to take a chance with his daughters emotions.

Rachel knows that her growing relationship with Calder new, she just doesn’t underrating his severe reluctance to change.

Calder is a sweet man, albeit rusty when it comes to romance. Rachel knows how to deal with kids and hopes that Calder will trust he enough to eventually introduce her to his amazing daughter.

As with all romances angst comes too. These two have a great relationship but when Calder decides that he is unwilling to bend when Rachel wants to meet his daughter their love hits a bit of a snag, can these two figure it out and make their relationship work?

This was a good book, but I really hated that it was so short. I felt like the romance was rushed and the ending was not fulfilling to me. I did like it, but I wanted more!

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped. Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking. Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze! Facebook | Follow on Goodreads | Website | Amazon Author Page | Instagram | Follow on BookBub

Blog Tour & Review: Fortuity by Rochelle Paige

FORTUITY_BT_BANNER1.jpg

Fortuity, the first in the all-new, emotional and romantic Fortuity Duet by Rochelle Paige, is available NOW!

Fortuity paperback
The only kinds of luck I knew were bad and worse...until my life hung in the balance. I finally caught a break in the form of a second chance.
I vowed not to let it go to waste.
To make a difference.
But I didn’t start really living until I met him.
Dillon Montgomery.
My complete opposite—except for our matching tortured souls.
I couldn’t resist him for long.
How could I when his smallest touch made my heart race?
When it felt like we were destined to be together.
But sometimes luck and sorrow are intertwined…
Excerpt:
Dillon twisted his neck and flashed me an apologetic grin over his shoulder. Unwanted butterflies swirled in my belly, and I quickly yanked my hands away from his shoulders and took a step backwards. His eyes flashed with male satisfaction and his grin grew wider. Determined to ignore the impact he had on me, I shifted my focus to the students. “Your test date is coming fast, so you’ll need to squeeze in as much extra study time as you can without neglecting your regular coursework. Maybe set aside some time during Thanksgiving break when you don’t have as much homework.” “Ugh. Studying over break sucks,” one of the girls complained. “Yeah, but you guys are in the homestretch. This test score is one of the last things you need to get into college. Trust me, it’ll be worth the extra effort.” “I guess if you could get into college while recovering from a transplant, then the least I can do is a little bit of studying over a holiday break that isn’t even that big of a deal since I don’t have a family to celebrate it with anyway.” The other kids nodded in agreement, and I snuck a peek at Dillon while everyone finished packing up. His brown eyes were wide with shock. I quickly looked away before he could ask me anything, and focused on saying my goodbyes as the kids all headed out. We both kept quiet—for which I was incredibly grateful—as Dillon helped me clean up the room. When we were back on the road, I turned to him and asked, "Were you really teaching my kids how to count cards?” His lips tilted up at the edges. “Maybe just a little.” “It’s a good thing none of them have any money to gamble or else they might learn to enjoy blackjack as much as you do.” His lip tilt turned into a full-fledged grin, and I glared at him. “I don’t know why you’re grinning at me! Look at what your affinity for gambling got you.” “What?” He pointed at his face. “The black eye?” “Yeah, for starters.” His grin grew into a blinding smile. “It was worth it.” “What? Why?” “Because it’s the reason I met you.” Shit. Those damn butterflies took flight in my stomach again FORTUITY_AN_KU

I was super excited to get this new book from Rochelle on my kindle!! In love her work and couldn’t wait to get a hold of book one in this duet!!

Faith was a great heroine!! I loved that her story was not all sunshine and she that she had to work for her happiness, I also loved that even though her childhood circumstances could have made her resentful or go down a bad path, despite everything she chose to make herself better and rose above.

Dillon had a privileged childhood and youth, but after his twins death he goes off the rails a little bit. But when he meets Faith, at his mother insistence his outlook changes. He is able to think of his twin without falling into his addictions.

I had a feeling I knew how this was going to end, and I was right but dang the journey and words Rochelle used to get us there were amazing!! I can’t wait for book 2 because I can’t wait to find out how these two souls will resolve this new twist in their love story!!

That was the moment Beckham appeared in the doorway like a storm cloud. Reyna straightened in her seat at the expression on his face. He walked across the room like a tightly coiled spring ready to explode. “Ah Beckham, there you are,” Harrington said. “Excuse me, William. I need to speak with Reyna. Alone.” She hastened out of her seat and followed him around the corner. He tugged her straight through the kitchens, out the back door, down a corridor, and into a dead end. Then her back was slammed against the brick wall. His fist connected with the wall behind her, and she felt the wall shudder. Debris floated onto her shoulders. “You left,” he growled. “I . . .” “No.” He pressed his finger to her lips roughly. She stopped breathing and just stared up into his eyes as dark as night. Her body trembled under the feral stare. “You left without me.” The silence was weighted. All she could do was sit with their bodies nearly touching. His finger on her mouth. Her mind wandering to hellacious places. “You are my subject. Can you imagine what it was like when I found you missing? When you turned up with three of my kind?” She shook her head minutely. He bared his teeth to her, and she shrank back. “These are meant to drink your blood. To drink you dry until there is nothing left of your body but a dry corpse. We are killers. We don’t hesitate. Just because we’re wearing suits and seem more like you . . . does not mean we are like you. We are not like you. They especially are not like you. The only way you get to the top of Visage is to be fucking ruthless, Reyna. Do you understand?” “You’re . . . scaring me,” she whispered. “Good.”

Blood Type is the first book in a new series by KA Linde. This book is amazing and a great start to this series. I don’t read very many PNR novels but I wanted to read this one because I love Ms Linde’s writing. She definitely did not disappoint me; there was a unique story line, romance, friendship, and the angst I crave.

Reyna went to work for Visage to help support her brothers. She was unable to find work anywhere so she applied to be a blood escort for the wealthy vampires. I loved this girl; she was full of spirit, was beautiful and was an all around good person. Beckham Anderson was who she was matched up with for her job. He was demanding, controlling, intimidating and very handsome. He had his moments when I loved him and others when I couldn’t see how Renya but up with him. You could feel the push and pull between them, it was palpable.

This story had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen in the end. It was full of twists and turns; just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, it would change gears and go another direction.  I loved this story so much. Vampires have never really interested me much but Becks has me wanting to get bit! I cannot wait to read Blood Match to see what happens next.

Author: Marika Ray
Genre: Contemporary Rom/Com

Amazon Customer - “I want my own beach squad!”
Amazon Customer - “What do you get when you mix an uptight teacher with a laidback lifeguard? I can tell you it’s not what you’re expecting.”
Amazon Customer - “I love the Beach Squad series and the latest book “Barefoot Chaos”, is a love story about being happy with who you are and finding your soulmate who will always be by your side.”

Chaos - a state of complete disorder and confusion; unpredictable; a gaping void
I spend my days a buttoned up schoolteacher coordinating the CareDare program for my high school English students and my nights with my book boyfriends, not daring to think I could procure one in real life. It's precise, it's controlled....and boring as hell.
The tide shifts and I find myself with a hippie lifeguard who provokes me as much as he turns me on, a Senior class in upheaval, a crazy Beach Squad that wants to befriend me, a wild twin sister back in my business, and a public challenge to expose my long-held secret for the greater good.
Do I deduce this chaos is all serendipitous, meant to thrust me into my true place in the world? Ultimately, I have to decide if I can kick off my shoes, dig my toes in the sand, and trust in love again.

I love this series!
Sweet love stories with just the right amount of steam in a beautiful ocean setting. They are a perfect reading escape!
Kai and Hessa weren't sure they were right for each other but I saw it. They were definitely different but they complimented each other making them a perfect match.
Two things I love about this book, actually the series so far-
Each book has a couple falling in love but behind the romance is a deeper somewhat of a mystery making the book so much more addicting.
The other is the friendship! These girls, this Beach Squad are a tight group. They love, support and raise each other up it's a beautiful thing. Every girl needs that one close, tell all, do anything for friend but they have a whole group.
I love that there will be more because I enjoy these books immensely. (Had to use a big Hessa wrord)
