BLOG TOUR: Scozzari by Jaimie Roberts

Presents : Blog Tour

Scozzari
by Jaimie Roberts

Series: Deviant; Book 3
Genre: NA Romance w/ Suspense

Jeremy (Jez) Scozzari

At the age of four, I was kidnapped by an enemy of my father, and as a result of that day, I have learned to fight. Since the age of eighteen, I've been known as Jez (One Punch) Scozzari because the full force of my fist is enough to take down my opponent with just one hit.

With the help of my dad, I turned into a tatted up machine -- built for speed, built for stamina ... in all senses of the word. I was prepared to fight, prepared for practically anything. But nothing had prepared me for the girl who had once stolen my heart to come catapulting back into my life again. One look from her when she turned up that day at college, and I was back to when I was ten-years-old. She was my first crush ... my first kiss.

And now that she's back, there's no way I'm going to let her escape this time.

Caitlin Summers

When I was ten, I fell for a boy who stole my heart. He was sweet, kind and gentle. He was my first kiss -- the one who made a lasting impression.

Then, at the age of thirteen, I had to move, leaving behind my heart which belonged to that sweet, kind, and gentle boy.

Now, I'm back, hearing that the sweet boy I left behind has turned into this tattooed bad boy with a reputation for fighting ... and an equal reputation for sleeping around.

I was determined not to let him in. Determined to put my walls up so high that not even the famous "One Punch" Scozzari could penetrate them.

But then came my first day of college when I saw him for the very first time in almost six years. One look from him and my solid walls came down with an earth-shattering crash. Just that one look and he had me ... and he knew he had me.

That was day one of Jeremy stalking me.

I'm screwed.

Note from Author: if anyone has triggers when it comes to violence and attempted suicide, then reader's need to be aware before delving in.

REVIEW:

REVIEWER: KIM
RATING: 5 STARS

The Deviant series is one of my favorite dark series so hearing there was a book 3 being released I was super excited. You don't need to of read the enjoy these books in the series to enjoy this book though as it can be read as a standalone.

Jeremy's story was amazing and everything I wanted and more in a book. The story was full of action that will keep you hooked to the pages and has characters that will break your heart and then have it out back together again.

I love a good book full of angst and this was definitely full of it. The story had a lot of different aspects to it. It was angsty but it was also had slot of heart breaking scenes that really broke my heart but have balance to the story. It was raw, thrilling, passionate and very very hard to put down.

Jaimie Roberts is one of my all time favorite authors and this book just reminds me of that.

 Blurb:

Dylan Locke knows that pining over the young ingenue Audrey Lind is pointless. He can’t offer her what she wants. He definitely can’t give her what she needs. Thank goodness she’s half a world away, and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head on.
But fate has other plans for him, and when Audrey once again lands in his path, it’s only too easy to fall back into their easy rhythm. And then their easy banter. And of course, each other’s arms.
He tells himself nothing has changed. She still wants forever, and he still thinks tomorrow is long enough. But watching her search isn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and now Dylan must figure out if he’s really the love Scrooge he professes to be or if he’s been Fate’s willing victim all along.

REVIEWER: TAMMI
RATING: 4.5 stars

I have been not so patiently waiting for this book. I couldn't except the way book 1 ended. Audrey and Dylan couldn't end that way, there had to me more. I was not happy to say the least!

But now I have it I knew there was more for them. I wanted them together so badly but...

Just because Dylan was older didn't make him wiser. In fact he was a big dummy when it came to her and love. I wanted to choke him. He just wouldn't let the wall down and love her. He was holding back thinking it was what was good for her but he was hurting both of them. A scary situation made him realize how much he needed her, he couldn't let her go.

What happened in the rest of the story was a beautiful perfect love story. I knew they belonged together it was Kismet.

Excerpt

It was a completely different experience kissing Audrey, after I’d accepted the gravity of the feelings I had for her.
I knew the kiss meant nothing, that it would lead nowhere, but it felt like being bathed in radiant light.
Like I was an imprisoned man in a dark prison cell who, for one brief moment, was allowed to step outside into the sunlight. I was completely present for it. Each brush of her lips, each touch of her tongue—I memorized it all, imprinted every second into my brain so that I’d have it forever. I might still have worn shackles with no hope of freedom, but this moment mattered. It was real and divine, and I would cherish every last second of the stolen sunshine until my dying day.
I would’ve been content with only kissing, with just the shallow lifts and falls of her chest and frantic hands trying to caress and cling.
But Audrey had other ideas in mind, demonstrated by the quick work of her hands at my waist, unbuckling my belt, undoing my trousers, the slip of her hand inside the opening to stroke the outline of my very prominent erection.
“This,” she said between kisses. She pulled at the elastic waistband of my boxers and dipped her hand in to touch me directly.
I hissed at the feel of her soft hand against my hot skin.
“I want this,” she begged. “Can I have this?”

REVIEWER: TAMMI
RATING:  5 stars

Hayley Faiman writes the kind of MC books I love. Dirty, ruthless outlaw men!
Wolf was all that and more. He was a jerk, a total a$$hole and Gah I love a good a$$hole hero! But underneath he was so damaged, so broke a total mess.
Esther yep this girl was a mess of her own.Together they were a messed up pair and instead of fixing each they were torturing each other. He would hurt her, she would retaliate by trying to hurt him and make him jealous but he didn't care he shared her. She loved him so she continued with his horrible push and pull game.
Both had childhoods that screwed them up. Both battling wicked demons!!
Then finally!! He got his head out of his a$$. They were still a mess but a beautiful mess! I loved their story it was dark, it was messy but it was them. It was all they knew.
And the bonus story was FANTASTIC!!
I devour her books. I get lost in her stories. I get wrapped up in her characters lives. And I love every word.

That inked bad boy who’s been flirting hard with me since he rode into town? Turns out he’s my new housemate, which is one hell of a problem since our chemistry is so hot it should be illegal.

I have a fantastic family, great best friends, a job I love…and now I’m up for a promotion to police sergeant. I need total focus—not a flirty, dirty, irresistible, tattooed hottie riding into my town on his motorcycle. Can I arrest him for being too good-looking? When he kisses me senseless in the back of a waffle truck, it’s criminal, the things he makes me think about hot syrup and melted butter. One order of hot, fluffy hookup to go, please. But the next time I see him, it’s not for our date with benefits. He’s the guy who just rented the room above my garage. I need the rent to pay my bills, not a man like Derek, who I soon discover to be strong, caring, generous, good with kids, and kind to puppies… If I’m not careful, he’ll be moving into my heart as well as my house. *** A no-strings-attached fling with the fiery redhead who revs my engine? Why, yes, that does sound like a delicious perk of my new job in this new town, thank you very much. I’m coming off a bad relationship, and I have zero interest in anything serious. I’ve got all the serious I need helping my sister take care of her three little kids while her husband is deployed. Except, surprise! Perri isn’t just my future fling. Turns out she’s my sexy, sassy landlord. A lease definitely counts as “strings attached,” and as much as I’d like to get tangled in her sheets, I can’t let myself get tangled up in a relationship. But as soon as we put the cuffs on our escapades, I learn over late-night conversations in the kitchen, that my landlord is so much more than the sexiest woman I’ve ever met– she has a quick mind and the biggest heart.

Once I’m in, I’m all in. And to convince her that we should see where this goes, I plan on turning up the heat—and not just in the kitchen.

REVIEW:

REVIEWER: TAMMI
RATING: 5 stars

Oh this story was FUN! This couple made me laugh with their flirty banter.
Kissing so much Kissing!! Passionate kisses, sweet kisses, romantic kisses, air kisses, HOT kisses and more.
It started with practicing for a kissing contest that soon turned into a challenge of sexual resistance, because circumstances put them in a situation that they shouldn't act on that aspect of their relationship. Gah their practice sessions were HOT!
Then comes The Feel Good Factor!!
So they make a deal, a plan, a deadline and I laugh because there is NO WAY they can stick to it they are already to far gone. BUT I got worried because I grew very attached to these characters and I didn't want anyone to get hurt. I didn't want hearts to be involved and broken.
But this a Lauren Blakely book so of course she has to put me on edge, give me a bit of angst before giving me my HEA.
Back to kissing this time the kiss was a Fell In Love With You Kiss and my eyes were leaking.

"Having read all of Lauren Blakely's books, I can confidently say that The Feel Good Factor is the author's sexiest, most passionate, most unapologetically sensual romance to date. The Feel Good Factor is my new favorite book by Lauren Blakely." - Yvette at Nose Stuck in a Book

"The chemistry between the lead characters was off of the charts. I felt it to the tips of my toes. It's things such as these, that sets this author in a different category than the others." -Reviews from the Heart

EXCERPT:

~DEREK~
Today is my lucky day.
I’d like to thank my sister for getting my ass out of bed.
I’d like to thank my niece for telling me the nice lady with the paints had just made her way down the veggie aisle.
And I’d like to thank fate that this avocado stand is in an out-of-the-way corner of the market, and that the farmer running it must have had to take one hell of a leak.
It’s just us.
This woman is fiery, flirty, and already driving me out of my mind. The stream of market-goers has thinned to a crawl as we near closing time, and left us in a cocoon of raw lust.
I place the fruit on the red-and-white-checkered tablecloth, brush my fingers over her hip, and tug her against me. She lets out the sexiest little sound. “Tell me your name. I’m dying to know.”
“Why do you need it so badly?”
“So I know what name to say when I’m fantasizing.”
A murmur crosses her lips, and she leans her head back against me, her hair spilling down my chest. “Are you fantasizing about me?”
“Every. Single. Night.”
“You must be having a log of long nights, Mr. Trouble.”
“Long, hard nights…Miss Demeanor,” I say with a smirk, trying that nickname on for size.
“Well played.”
“Thank you. It just came to me.”
She glances back at me, her green eyes looking rife with dirty thoughts. “Do you want to come down to the station with me?”
“I want your name, beautiful. Give me your name,” I growl into her ear, commanding her.
“Perri,” she says breathlessly, her voice betraying her longing. A longing that matches mine.
“Perri,” I repeat, tasting her name on my tongue.
Her voice tightens to a warning and sharpens as she speaks. “Don’t say it.”
I narrow my brow in question. “Say what?”
“Don’t say it’s a guy’s name.”
I laugh lightly in her ear, jerking her ass closer to my hard-on. “Do you honestly believe I’m thinking for one second about guys right now?”
She lets out a gasp, chased by a soft moan. “I don’t know. What exactly are you thinking about?”
I drag my scruff against her neck. “How close I am to getting a ticket for indecent everything.”
She wriggles her sexy rear against me. “I’d say everything feel way more than decent.”
I groan as a dart of lust shoots down my spine. I’d like to find a way to kiss the breath out of her right here, right now.
She tenses against me, her body straightening like a ruler, and my gaze flicks to the new crowd of people streaming around the corner, heading toward us.
Fuck me.

Rating: 4.5 Groupie Stars

A Sticky Situation is the seventh book in the Awkward Love series. I loved this  short sexy and oh so hilarious awkward romance. This series has become a guilty pleasure for me.

This was a quick but fun read. I never knew what was going to happen next to our poor heroine, Hannah. She seemed to be having a rough time and having her sister and niece living with her definitely didn’t help her love life. Her best friend booked her a hotel room and from the minute she got to the hotel things went crazy for her. She checks in, which was an event all in itself, gets to her room and decides to relax. She hasn’t had time alone in awhile. Let’s just say she’s enjoying her time alone and then realizes someone is in her room watching her. He’s arrogant and cocky. He also happens to be Brix Wilson, the famous rock star. She also happens to be in his room. Hannah rushes out of the room and can’t leave the hotel fast enough. The tabloids pick up the story of the mystery woman getting her rocks off in his room; she’s just glad no one knows it was her. Hannah doesn’t think she’ll ever see Brix again so she’s relieved about that.  I can’t say what happens next but it gets real awkward for our girl. There are so many twists and turns that this book flew by. I couldn’t get to the end fast enough. If you like a romance that will make you laugh you should get this one.

Excerpt

Panicked, I sit up, gaping in disbelief at the person standing in the doorway. I grasp at the sheet, I frantically try to cover the most crucial bits of me, while feeling completely mortified. He, on the other hand, can’t wipe that damn smirk off his face.
What the fuck?
His head cocks sideways and his lips twitch into an even bigger grin that I’d probably find sexy—if I wasn’t two knuckles deep and showing him more of me than any guy has seen of me in a long time.
“Well, I have to say,” he drawls in a low, husky voice, “women do a lot of shit to try to get my attention, but this is definitely up there as the most original.”
I can’t even comprehend what he’s saying, because I’m frozen on the spot and trying to work out what the hell he’s doing in my room. Is this some kind of sick joke? Is he planning on attacking me? My eyes dart to the phone on the wall, but they switch back to him when he walks closer.
Fuck.
He steps out of the shadows, giving me a better look at his face and—
Double fuck.
What the heck is the lead singer of The Vision doing in my hotel room?
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, so my body decides to do both. I can’t think straight, but I’m doing my best to stop freaking the fuck out so I can try to figure a way out of this mess. I’m so unbelievably embarrassed. And naked, apart from this flimsy sheet. I should probably get dressed. The problem is, doing anything at this point feels impossible.
“So, do you speak?” he asks, jolting me out of my thoughts. “I mean, we’ve established that you can moan quite well.”
Oh God.
“I had a friend once, who was mute,” he muses, “we drifted apart because our conversations were always very one-sided.”
“I am not mute,” I snap, glaring at him.
“Great, then you can start by telling me what you’re doing.” He laughs and rubs his jaw. “I mean, it’s pretty obvious what you were doing, I’m just not sure why. Not that I didn’t appreciate the show,” he quickly adds. “Trust me, I did.” His dark eyes flash with amusement. “It’s refreshing to meet a girl who doesn’t mind opening herself up.”
What the ever loving fuck…?
How can he casually crack jokes like he isn’t the slightest bit embarrassed about walking in on me? I don’t trust myself to speak, so I just glare at him.
“Can I get you anything, like a drink?” he offers. “Or maybe offer you a hand…?”
“You could offer me some privacy?” I suggest, my body shaking with rage.
“Privacy, huh?” He grins at me. “Sure. I’ll turn around.”
He’ll turn around?
“Or you could leave, the same way you came in?” I retort.
“You seem pretty agitated over there. I’m guessing I interrupted the finale? Have you thought about trying some relaxation breathing?” he suggests, “it’s supposed to be great for relieving tension.”
“Are you done?” I growl.
“Are you?” he asks. “Maybe you should be the one leaving?”
A surge of anger hits me. Why the hell should I be the one to leave when he’s the one in my room? I wrestle myself up so I’m sitting on the edge of the bed, my knuckles white from clinging onto the sheet so tightly. While I’m at it, why am I the one who’s embarrassed?
If I can’t get myself off in the privacy of my own room—
I stop, mid-thought as I look around, an uneasy feeling creeping into my stomach. The clothes scattered outside the bathroom. The freaking guitar leaning against the couch that I somehow neglected to notice. The champagne. The note…there was no upgrade.
I’m the one in the wrong room.
And I was seconds from climaxing all over Brix Wilson’s bed.
My heart pounds as a trickle of sweat makes it’s way down the back of my neck. I swat it away, while trying hard to think up an excuse for being in his room that sounds even half plausible.
Who am I kidding? There’s no getting out of this. Not without me looking like a complete fuckwit. Sure, they gave me the wrong key, which makes this whole mess not my fault, but as if he’s going to believe that.
I take a deep breath and reach for my clothes, somehow managing to dress myself while showing minimal skin. Not that he hasn’t seen everything already.
God, he’s seen more of my than I have.
I stand up, nearly losing my balance. My legs feel like jelly, so even walking feels like a hard task, but I have to get out of here. And the longer I wait, the harder escaping is going to be.
“I have to go,” I mumble.
“So soon? You went to all this trouble of getting in here and performing for me, and now you’re leaving? Where’s the harm in hanging around for a little longer?” he presses. “I was looking forward to seeing how far you’d go.”
I stalk over to the door, avoiding all physical contact with him. He can’t wipe the smirk off his face, but I can’t let myself think too hard about what just happened, or I’ll lose control. As I close the door behind me, I hear his voice call out after me;
“What, I don’t even get an encore?”
