I fell in love with Austin before I even knew what the word meant.

Miranda was the only girl who ever had a chance at owning my heart.

Defined by the land we grew up on—ranches, pastures, lakes—Mason Belle, Texas, wrote our story. And then it tore out the pages.

Six years later, Miranda had managed to slip away again. But this time, I refused to let her run.

Blog Tour & Review: Best Served Cold by Emma Hart

BESTSERVEDCOLD-banner1live.jpg

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Which is a real problem when the attraction runs red-hot.

Best Served Cold, an all-new standalone romantic comedy from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Emma Hart is available now!

BESTSERVEDCOLD-cover4
Trust me. I know. The only reason I decided to renovate my family’s ice-cream store was to serve up a sundae full of revenge for my a-hole ex who opened an ice-cream store right next to mine.
It was supposed to be simple.
Renovate. Reopen. Put his peachy butt out of business.
Until he decided to get under my skin—and broke my toe.
Now, I’m stuck with Chase in my store every day, helping me renovate. But he’s also in my head, and I’m spending a little too much time up against his abs.
Not that it’s the worst place to be.
But it doesn’t change anything. I still hate him, and I’m still going to get my revenge.
Right?

Excerpt:
“And there goes my water.” Rae got up and dumped the contents of her glass into the sink. “Thanks for that.” I shrugged. “Can’t drill without dust, babe.” “Can’t drill without dust, babe,” she parroted in a high-pitched voice. “Whatever. You can drill without contaminating my water.” “Remember who’s doing who a favor here.” She cocked one hip and put her hand on it. “The only reason you’re still here is because I bent over an hour ago and you saw my underwear.” I couldn’t help the twitch of my lips. “That may be a contributing factor.” “Oh, please. You keep staring at me just in case I flash you again.” “Actually, I’m staring at you because you look hot as fuck in that dress.” I paused. “But I won’t deny that you flashing me would be a bonus.” Rae rolled her eyes. “I don’t even know what to say to you. You’re ridiculous.” “Ridiculously charming.” “Ridiculously frustrating.” “Charmingly frustrating.” “You—” She stopped and pointed at me. “You are. You are. You!” she growled and stomped into the kitchen. I choked back a laugh. “I am delightful, handsome, and phenomenal in bed!” She came back within seconds. “If you’re trying to make me fall in love with you again, you’re failing dismally.” “Technically, I’m not trying. I’m such a delight you’ll fall back in love with me anyway.” “You’re a raging egomaniac.” “And you are a beautiful ray of happiness.” “And you—wait, what?” She frowned. “When did this get turned around on me? Stop complimenting me. You don’t compliment me when I insult you.” I leaned against the wall, still holding onto the drill. “All right, you’re a miserable little shit. Is that better?” Her lips twitched as she tried not to laugh. “No. You’re supposed to compliment me even when I tell you not to.” “I’m not falling for your female psychobabble.” I pushed off the wall and looked for the next ‘x.’ “Compliment yourself. I have no problem doing it.” “I compliment myself all the time. Have you seen my boobs?” I shot her a side-eye. “Yes. I’m also fond of those.” Rae folded her arms across her chest. It did nothing to further her cause of pretending to be annoyed. All it did was push her tits up. “If you’re trying to make me stop looking at your tits, you’re doing a bad job.” She looked down and immediately dropped her arms. “Yeah, well, shut up.” She sniffed. “How many holes are left?” I scanned the wall. “Three. You should try one. It won’t kill you.” She shifted. “No offense, but I don’t know if I trust you around me with tools.” “I wasn’t even near you when you dropped the scraper on your foot. I won’t drop the drill. I promise.” I paused. “If anything, I’m the one who should be worried given that you’ve already dropped the drill once.” “That was an accident.” “Exactly.” I pushed off the wall. “Come on. You might learn something.” “I doubt it,” she mumbled, wiping her hands off on her dress and coming to stand at my side. “Okay, let’s humiliate me.” I laughed and drew her into my body. She nestled against me as if she were made for me. Her ass curved perfectly into my hips, and the gentle sweep of her back flattened against my stomach and chest like a missing puzzle piece. “Wrap your hand around the handle,” I said, raising her hand to it. “And hold onto it. Tight.” “I think I can figure that out.” “Remember who dropped the drill.” She sniffed. “I didn’t expect the wall to be so hard.” “Rae, it’s fucking brick. Not marshmallow. What the hell did you expect?”

I love Emma Hart’s writing so much!! She always blends love, romance and humor perfectly!! I was so excited to meet this new couple!! And the beginning of the book grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let me go!!

Raelynn hates Chase. Not only is he her ex boyfriend but when dating she gave him all the ideas he needed to open up a rival ice cream shop across the street from hers using her ideas!!

After finally having had enough Raelynn decides she has had enough and she wants her revenge. She wants to get her crown as queen of ice cream back and she will do anything to make that happen.

Alls fair in love, ice cream and war right? I loved this story!! The revenge plots were awesome!! I laughed and cried with these characters as they waded through their past hurts and started to begin anew.

I will always recommend Emma’s work to those who love romance and comedy!!

This was an amazingly funny and love filled reunion of all of our favorite boys of winter!! Brent and Aubrey are getting married and the preparations are underway! The story that follows this couple on their journey to the alter was amazing!!

With a missing wedding dress and a mishap leading to a sprained ankle the lead up to the wedding is insanely funny!! The banter from this couple was still laugh out loud funny! And I loved it!!

The love surrounding this couple was amazing and it made the day and event even more special!! I loved catching up with Nolan and Lainey’s inappropriateness!! I would be disappointed it they ever changed!!

Shapiro - POV
“Hey, what are you doing here?” Her voice is breathless, and I notice she has icing on one hand and an icing bag in the other.
“I’m hungry for something sweet,” I tell her.
“Well, you’re in luck, because I have a batch almost ready.” She smiles, and it hits me in the gut.
“I’m not hungry for cupcakes.” I stare down at her before bringing her hand to my mouth, licking the icing from her fingers.
One.
By.
One.
“Oh,” she whispers.
“Yeah, oh.” I swirl my tongue up her palm and to her wrist, applying light pressure as she falls into me.
I’ve been patient, but when a tiny moan escapes her lips, my resolve snaps and I lift her into my arms and set her onto the counter with a gentle thud.
“Oh. Cold.” She winces from the stainless on her bare thighs, the icing falling to the ground.
“I can help with that,” I promise her as I bend down to retrieve the bag from the concrete floor.
She watches me as I slowly move to stand between her legs and she opens them wider in invitation.
My palms rest on her knees and slowly trail up and under the hem of her dainty dress. Reaching around under one leg, I drag my finger higher and collect the wayward pink sugar before bringing it to my lips to lick it away.
“I noticed you had a little icing here.”
She arches back, watching me.
“Sometimes, I’m a little messy.” She blushes, and I know this is all new to her. Foreplay. Seduction. The fun that comes from making your lover squirm beneath your hands before you have barely even touched them.
Hands that only touch for pleasure, comfort.
“Messy is good.” I wiggle my fingers, still sticky with pink goo.
She leans forward and takes my fingers in her hand, before bringing them to her own lips.
I see her tongue dart out to taste my skin before I feel it. I grow painfully hard at the sight alone, but when her warm mouth takes my thumb into her mouth, I nearly make a fool of myself.
But I fight to maintain my self-control, to give her this chance to explore. When I’m satisfied she’s ready for more, I pull my hand away and shift upward, taking her lips with my own.
Our mouths meld together—a mix of salty and sweet. Skin and icing. Desire and hope.
She moans into my mouth and I raise the skirt of her dress around her waist, careful not to completely expose her as I gently ease her back, my palm dragging slowly down her chest, right between her perfect tits.
She falls back onto her elbows and looks at me, turned on and confused.
“What are you doing? I’ve never—” she breaths out heavily.
“Shhh. It’s okay. You trust me?” I ask, trailing my finger up her inner thigh resting it against the hem of her lace panties. Her moisture soaking into my skin while I wait for the green light to pleasure her.
“Yes, Shapiro. I trust you. Always.” She sighs, edging closer to me.
A simple yes would have been enough, but hearing my name fall from her lips, lips swollen from my kisses, is my undoing.
Pulling the lace aside, I let my finger brush against her as I ease my mouth onto her, letting my tongue work a slow pace, just enough to caress her before withdrawing, then going deeper.
She moans, and her hips begin to buck as I drown in the delicious taste of Penny. The more I drink her in, the hungrier I become.
Picking up the pace, her hands tangle in my hair and I hold her in place and greedily lap her up as she rides out her ecstasy.
She falls over the edge, giggling and moaning as she writhes against my lips.
Just as I draw back and peer at her from between her gorgeous legs, the timer goes off.
I dip back down to place one last gentle kiss to her core, before letting her panties fall back into place.
Standing and helping her sit up as she adjusts her clothes she watches me, growing silent.
“Was I? Was it—” She stumbles over the words and I am crushed she doubts herself so much.
“Perfection.” I lean in and kiss her once more. Letting her taste herself on my lips.
“It’s actually my new favorite dessert.” I smile against her lips.
“Is that so?” She laughs. Drawing back, I see her smile is where it belongs.
“Yep. How about you? You okay?” I search her face for any traces of regret but only find her looking at me like I just hung the fucking moon and it’s the best feeling in the world.
“More than okay,” she whispers as I help her down before she rushes to get the cupcakes that are now burning.
“How much work do you have left?” I ask.
“I think I’m done here.” She winks, pulling them from the oven setting them aside to cool.
She may be done, but I’m just getting started, I think to myself as we clean up.
