Oh this book!! A truly emotional journey. I cried more than once heartbreaking tears for a little boy and happy tears for the boy that became a perfect man.
Mac and Simone had a very strange start. I really don't think they liked each other at all when they were forced together. But you know that fine line between love and hate, they definitely walked it.
I felt so bad for her she was such a lost soul at times she honestly had no one to turn to. Her family was a joke, she was alone and scared for most of her pregnancy. But she was strong and didn't let it break her.
Kids in books get me everytime this one not so much the kid but the love from a man who takes on the role of a father. I fell so hard for Mac watching that.
The action packed story that ran through this book was awesome and at times had me on the edge of my seat.
MN Forgy writes fantastic MC stories that you can't put down. She was the first MC I read way back and continues to keep my standards high! She never disappoints.
