They say going home is easy, and in all reality, it should be. Just not for me.
The small, one-horse town that gave me my roots, that made my soul thrive, is also the place I never wanted to set foot in again. I left everything behind and never looked back. Until now. With the death of the man who raised me, I’m forced to return to Boone.
Old wounds resurface, and heartache and loss trump everything once more.
Seeing the man who shattered my world the night of our high school graduation almost brings me to my knees. Jessie, my once best friend and love of my life, ruined it all for me…for us.
I’m back in Boone…and my secret is about to rattle the tiny town.

Rating: 5 Groupie Stars
An HJ Bellus book always pulls the emotions out of me. She tugs on my heartstrings, makes me smile and sometimes pisses me off but ALWAYS gives me a story I can't put down!
This was the sweetest of second chances. A small town romance with all the judgmental gossips, the hometown hero who can do wrong (Ha Ha that wasn't all true) and the hurt girl who ran and hid from it all.
Jessie was a straight up JERK when this book started. I hated him after he muttered one sentence but somehow the author turned the tables and I fell for him. Maybe it was the cutest little thing ever running around in tutus and sparkles that changed my mind, lord knows she changed him!
A heartwarming sometimes heartbreaking story of second chance at first love. I started the book mad and ended the last few chapters with sappy tears running down my face. Such a precious ending!! I loved every word!!!

MEET THE AUTHOR:
HJ Bellus is a small town girl who loves the art of storytelling. When not making readers laugh or cry, she's a part-time livestock wrangler that can be found in the middle of Idaho, shotgunning a beer while listening to some Miranda Lambert on her Beats and rocking out in her boots.
