If you are on the fence about this book READ THE PROLOGUE!! You will be hooked for sure. I know I was!
This book was unexpected to me. I didn't realize there was going to be another in the series. It was a fantastic surprise it is the story of Lenora. We met her in the other books as The by the book Queen, The somewhat overbearing Grandmother but we also saw peeks of a fun loving woman who would do absolutely anything for her family. She was a bit of a mystery.
Now we know her story! We see her heartbreak, her loneliness, her strength, her rise to be the Queen. Oh but the best part is watching her love story, her laughter, we see her as a friend, a lover, a wife, and a mother She was so much more than a Queen.
The prologue caught my attention right away, the story was fascinating and kept me reading, there were parts near the end that worried me to tears but the heartwarming tearfilled ending wrapped it up with a beautiful bow.
I always enjoy an Emma Chase book and I have loved this series but I do believe this one is my favorite. Long live the Queen!!
