Oh, the promises she makes… and then delivers.  Amo Jones once again draws the reader in and lets them live in the world she has created.  In Fury Lies Mischief is book 2 in the Midnight Mayhem series.  This is a different couple that performs in Midnight Mayhem however I wouldn’t call it a standalone. There is too much background that you would lose if you skipped the story of Dove and King.  You must read Book 1 – In Peace Lies Havoc. (quick reboot - Talented performers and skilled assassins merge as we meet a family organization that could rule the world with an iron fist. I find the strict rules and family ties amazing.  We have had a glimpse of Midnight Mayhem from Jones before in her vast array of novels.)

As I’ve said before, if you love to read dark and twisted, angsty and deliciously defiant, then this series is what you need.  In Fury Lies Mischief focuses on Killian and Saskia. They push each other and taunt each other until fire erupts, literally and figuratively!  The depth of the backstory that goes into a Jones novel always amazes me, and this is not any different.  Secrets and mysteries are layered with intrigue and sexual chemistry that is off the charts.  

I don’t like to share many details but especially with one of Jones’s novels.  She has so many twists and turns, something as simple as labeling the book as anything other than “dark” could ruin one of the details.  Just know that I couldn’t put this one down and I am already craving the next book.  (I legit set another book aside mid-read to devour this one in one sitting - seriously.  It's that good.)
