AN ALL-NEW STANDALONE FROM NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR JULIA KENT

I’m not too proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland.

Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends.

So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?

Oh.

Oh, no.

The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.

That’s right.

Feisty.

More from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent as Fiona “Feisty” Gaskill gets her chance at love - drop-kick included.

Stepping into someone’s story on the worst day of their life is intriguing and engaging and that is exactly what Julia Kent does.  The reader is immersed into the story of Fiona Gaskill immediately and it is impossible to stop turning the pages until the story is complete.  Ms. Kent writes characters who are human and flawed, and stories which you can’t help but be drawn in to.

As the story unfolds we see how one event (or several in Fiona’s case) can shape the life and the decisions of an individual.  Once labeled Feisty, Fiona has spent her adult life trying to change her outlook and lead a life of peace.
Chris “Fletch” Fletcher was the cause of her pain all those years ago and she has actively avoided his presence since.  Can this new traumatic even change her life and possibly lead to forgiving Fletch for the past?

I feel like the blurb is a little misleading as there is WAY more to the story than a blind date, however, I enjoyed this book.  The new-age vibe of this book was a little over the top for me, but hey, to each their own. I love the friendship between the ladies in this story and the second chance romance is always a fun read for me.

In my opinion, Feisty can be read as a standalone HOWEVER it is book 3 in the Do-Over Series. You can read about Fiona’s friends Mal and Perky in Fluffy (book 1) and Perky (book 2).
