Holy crap! This was a short, dark and dirty read!
Poor Amalia this girl is put through HELL! It starts with her sad back story and then we are thrown straight in to her tortured present. I have to say she is a strong girl. Everything she put through, she doesn't let it break her and she holds her head high.
This is the first I have read by this author and I see there are previous books that are connected with this one. I enjoyed this book but was a bit confused with character connections at times, I believe reading the other books before this one may have helped. So now I am curious and will go back and read those!
