Release Blitz & Review: The Gathering by L.A. Fiore

Title: The Gathering
The Ivy Blackwood Chronicles
Author: L.A. Fiore
Genre: Contemporary/Thriller/Paranormal Romance
Release Date: October 12, 2018

Blurb

Words like unnatural and impure started the whispers.

From the very beginning, Ivy Blackwood was different. She was only a child when she was accused of setting the fire, one she passively watched engulf the small house she had called home. Her fingertips burned and her hair singed. Some who watched her crossed themselves, convinced she was soulless for she showed no emotion at all. Calm and dispassionate, even when the screaming started that quickly turned to bellows of agony before dying into nothing but the roaring of the fire.

She was locked away where she couldn’t bring harm to herself or others. To all involved, they had protected the world from a monster, but sometimes things are not what they seem.

REVIEW
Rating: 4.5 Groupie Stars
"It isn't a battle between good and evil that has been waged since the beginning of time; it is a balance.

On the summer solstice, Ivy Blackwood was born. She different from the very beginning, At age 10 she was fostered out, she lived with this family for just two weeks The house burned down and she was sent to an insane asylum for a very young girl.
A group of magically talented people are being drawn to Ivy and she can read people through her ability as an empathy.

Ivy somehow manages to acquire a group of people to help her accomplish this task. They are all gifted in someway. This is a journey of becoming who you are and embracing it with both arms. By the end of the book, Ivy has discovered her emotions the love of her life and has begun the trek of self discovery.
So if you like romance, magic some tragedy and an ongoing series Then "The Ivy Blackwood Chronicles" are for you.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The plot moved along nicely and there was plenty of good natured bantering among
Nothing like a story of a young girl closeted away for something others did not understand.
The characters are well rounded out and the story was a pleasure to read, Get this book and rejoice all over again at the beauty and strength of youth who discover who they are and their purpose in their world.
