If you love to read dark and twisted, angsty and deliciously defiant, all you need is an Amo Jones novel. And her newest, In Piece Lies Havoc, is all that and more.
As always, Jones creates a world that both terrifies and intrigues me. The characteristics and background build up of Kingston and the Brothers, Dove, and the other unique characters in this book are second to none.
Talented performers and skilled assasins merge as we meet yet another family organization that could rule the world with an iron fist. I find the strict rules and family ties amazing. Never one to spoil the story I can't delve too much into the relationship between King and Dove, but mark my words you won't be disappointed.
Layers upon layers of twisted, intertwined details create the most dangerous and demented worlds you can imagine, drawing the reader deeper and deeper into the world of Midnight Mayhem. I for one can't wait for more.
Fun little side note: We have had a glimpse of Midnight Mayhem from Jones before in her vast array of novels (Manik) and it was fun to see the dots connect from this end. You might see a few other characters pop up with some cameos. *wink, wink*
Overall, a fantastic book I couldn't put down. Now to not-so-patiently wait for the next in the series...
