Author Spotlight and Giveaway for Author AC Wilson

Author  AC Wilson

Dear Author Groupies,

I cannot tell you how honored I am to be here with you! I have only been a published Indie author for six months and what a wild ride it has been! I have met the most amazing people in such a short time. You have all been so supportive and welcoming. I can only hope that I can do the same for those of you who only thought writing to be an unattainable dream. It can be done! YOU can do it!

I started out writing historical-regency fiction and you can find my first two books, Rockwell’s Lady and To Right A Wrong in ebook and paperback. My latest book is a contemporary romance aptly named Black Hills Angel (Black Hills Series, #1). It has some awesome reviews and I’d love to know what you think about Andy and Matt’s story.

Thank you again for all your support! You’ll never know just how much it means to me. I’d love to connect with you all. Contact me any time!

XOXO,

A.C. Wilson

Get to Know AC Wilson:

Which do you use in your writing Male POV, Female POV, or Dual POV?

I use a dual POV! I like getting into my character’s head and seeing something from both sides. We don’t often have the kind of control in our own lives so this is quite refreshing! J

How would you describe your Book?

Black Hills Angel (Black Hills Series, #1) is my first contemporary romance and it features a young mother who is basically alone and struggling financially, emotionally, and physically with being a single parent.
Matt is the wonderful, sexy cowboy who is loyal and protective the instant he meets both mother and infant daughter. It’s a story about committing to a path, understanding it’s the right thing to do, and letting someone love you for who you truly are.
To me is shares the values I was raised with in the Midwest! It also shares a great deal of my own experiences too!

Do you have your family and friends read your book/s?

Oh yes! My grandmother and my best friend have been awesome as my betas! They read everything first and comment on it. My family has been truly supportive in this dream as are my new friends on Facebook. Every day I am blessed to find such encouragement from the Indie community as well!

Which Authors inspire you?

I grew up reading authors like Louis L’Amour, Scott O’Dell, and ventured later on to Stephanie Laurens, Victoria Alexander, and Mary Balogh. I absolutely LOVE historical romances! Honestly though, every author I have met since and read since I became an author myself has been truly inspiring. Dreams can be scary and they make it look so easy!

Is there something you always have to have when you are writing?

Pen and paper! Always! I make a ton of notes and keep binders on them. It is more intimidating than organized, I think!

Black Hills Angel Excerpt:

"I want so much, Matt." She let out the breath she had been holding. "I'm afraid to ask for more." The rapidly blooming desire between them slowly withered into a wavering flame. She swallowed hard and rested her forehead against his chest. His t-shirt was still damp from the bath water. The insecurity squeezed her heart again. There was no waiting. Matt wrapped his arms around her and held her to him. His large, work roughened hands rubbed circles across her back. Why can't being a single parent be just a dream? Why can't Matt be my "real life"? The words churned in her head.
"There is only one thing you could ask of me that would be too much." Matt whispered in her ear. Her brow furrowed as she raised her eyes to his.
"What's that?" Andy hardly recognized the voice that asked her question. It was too low and scratchy. Matt kissed the tip of her nose and then pressed a soft kiss on her lips.
"If you asked me to leave. It's the one thing I cannot do for you, Andy. I would give you all that I have and all that I am, but do not ask me to walk away." Matt held her tighter, pressing her body against his. Andy felt every breath he took. It matched every one breath that she breathed.
