Title: Living Again(Living Again #1)
Author: LL Collins
Rating: 4.5 Groupie Stars

Kayley Carson thought she had it all...married to the love of her life, a great job, and a baby on the way.  Then one day, her life changes forever when she loses her husband in a tragic accident.  No longer sure how to navigate life after her enormous loss, Kayley clings to her newborn baby, her family, and her friends to keep herself living.
When she meets someone that challenges her belief that she's better off alone, she has to decide if sh is capable of letting him in after swearing she was never going to love anyone the same way again..
She's not the only one with a painful past.  He is struggling with trust issues after a previous relationship went horribly wrong.  After a terrible misunderstanding brings out both of their insecurities, will the painful memories of the past keep them both from living again?

"He was everything to me.  He was my entire life.  All we wanted to do was raise our family together, live forever with one another until we were old and gray.  Now, our son or daughter will never know...."

This book brought me to the depths of despair.  I hurt so much for Kayley and what she had to endure while pregnant after losing the love of her life! She is a strong woman and held it together for her child.  Kayley has a strong support system through her family and best friend Emily.
A year passes and Kayley has a daughter who is almost one and she is slowly getting back to a "normal" life.  She still grieves for her husband but can get through a day without sobbing.  Emily tries to get her back out with friends and hopes she will begin dating again soon.  But Kayley doesn't have the same idea.

"This was not supposed to be what happened, Emily.  We were soul mates and half of my soul got taken away.  What am I supposed to do now?  What do I do?  My husband was ripped away from me, and you think I should move on and find love?"

After enduring another tragic incident, Kayley meets Ben, a local doctor.  He is the first guy she as noticed since her husband died but she feels guilty for having sexy thoughts about him.  She tries to stay unfeeling but Ben is super sexy and thoughtful!  Who doesn't love that?!

"You need to understand something about me.  I'm damaged.  I've been totally annihilated this past year by what has happened to me."
"Why do I want to get to know you, Kayley?  Because what I do know is you're beautiful, you're a great mother, and you care about people.  That's a good enough reason for me to want to get to know you."

Can Kayley get past her guilt of "moving on" from her late husband or will she miss what could be the second greatest love of her life?  Can there be more than one soul mate in a  lifetime?  Ben makes Kayley think that there might be, but when something unexpected happens it makes both of them want to reevaluate their relationship and if it is worth the pain and allowing the walls to come down.
