This book was not what I expected. I didn't know much about the coal mines and the lives that people lived but Silla Webb did an amazing job of describing their lives and how hard it can be on them.
Carly has been running from her past for seven years but when her father becomes ill she has to return back to the coal mines and face her past. Carly runs into Colton, the one guy she never wanted or hoped to see again. Colton buried his heart when Carly left seven years ago and has sworn never to love again.
Both have issues they need to work out about what happened seven years ago.
Both are swearing they will never change how they feel about the other but, life has it's own way of thinking.
I could not put my kindle down after I started reading this. I could feel each characters emotions and could envision what they were going through. Great job on your debut novel!
