Capturing Peace Synopsis:

Coen Steele has spent the last five years serving his country. Now that he's back, he's finally ready to leave behind the chaos of the battlefield and pursue his lifelong dream. What he wasn't expecting was the feisty sister of one of his battle buddies—who has made it obvious that she wants nothing to do with him—to intrigue him in a way no woman has before.

Reagan Hudson's life changed in the blink of an eye six years ago when she found out she was pregnant and on her own. Since then, Reagan has vowed never to let another man into her life so that no one can walk out on her, or her son, again. But the more she runs into her brother's hot and mysterious friend, the more he sparks something in her that she promised herself she wouldn't feel again.

Can two people with everything to lose allow themselves to finally capture the love they both deserve?

Review:

Two words…LOVED it! You’ll need the Kleenex for this book, but Molly always makes me cry. From the very beginning I could relate to Reagan Hudson, the single mom raising her son, Parker, alone. Reagan has shut all men out of her and Parker’s life because she doesn’t want another man to leave her son like his dad did. Reagan is a strong and independent lead female character. Reagan is smart and has her life all planned out, well at least that’s what she thinks…then she literally bumps into Coen Steele at a coffee shop. Coen is a vet and is tortured with his personal demons and guilt from his time served. It seems that they are destined to meet; they had 3 accidental meetings in 2 days. Reagan makes it clear that she isn’t looking for a relationship and Coen agrees and says maybe they should just be a distraction for each other.
This is when the real love story begins.  You will be swept into the whirlwind love affair that is fast and hard, I felt every gut wrenching emotion possible while reading this book. At times my heart was breaking for all of them; this is a love story not just between Reagan and Coen but also about Parker and Coen. There were times while reading that I was so mad and frustrated that they both seemed to be so stubborn and couldn’t see what was right in front of them. The characters are well developed and I felt like I had known them all of my life; they were just that easy to relate to. This is a love story about two tortured souls; one from war demons and the other from the torment of being alone but when they come together can they capture the peace they both crave? This is a great love story about their adventure to answer this question. The relationship between Coen and Parker is so sweet and the relationship between Coen and Reagan will have you praying that they figure this out. I give Capturing Peace 5 groupie stars. I cannot wait for the next installment from Molly McAdams.

About Molly:

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry four-legged daughters. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
