Blog Tour for The Madam by M. Robinson

Some people need love…

I need sex, money, control, and power.

Anyone could have those four things, but only one could have VIP. Becoming Madam was never a choice for me, it was a mandated order from the most powerful woman I knew- my mother. I was born to fill her shoes, never to make mistakes, or to show weakness.

You are the product of your environment. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree; you learn from what you see, not from what you're told. Nature vs. Nurture. I learned from it all; what I saw, what I didn't see, what I was told, and from reading between the lines.

I was raised with the belief that the world spun ONLY because of me. I held power as far back as I can remember, saw things no one ever talks about, and witnessed illegal acts of sex, drugs, and money by the time I was eighteen.

You saw a glimpse of me in VIP, now see it from the beginning. Enter my world where anything goes; no judgments, no remorse, no guilt. You play by my rules, or you don’t play at all. There are no limits to what I can do, or to what I can show you…I will ensure my legacy my any means necessary.

My name is Lilith Veronica Stone, and I am The Madam.

I received a complimentary copy from the author for an honest review.

What I liked the most about this book, is finding out how Lilith became the Madam.

I love how Ms. Robinson gets into detail and she explains everything thoroughly.  I hate jumping into a book and you are sometimes lost at the beginning because you don't know the history of where the story is heading.

This is a story about a woman explaining how she became the Madam and the things she had to go through to get what she wanted and needed.  Lilith Veronica was her name and she was brought up by the Madam.  The very well known brothel by the name VIP that has been in her family for generations.  When Lilith was a child, her mother had plans for her.  She wanted her to take over the reins once the Madam was ready to retire.  Lilith had other plans once she grew up to be a beautiful woman and she was a VIP.

The Madam was a harsh and cruel woman and she wasn't any nicer to her daughter.  When Lilith was barely a teenager, she decided to rebel and she slept with one of the clients and due to that one night, she became pregnant.  The Madam was furious with her and sent her away to give birth in a home for pregnant girls.  Lilith ended up going into labor early and almost lost her child.  Due to the complications, Lilith had to have a hysterectomy done and she was never able to have children again.  Her daughter was given up for adoption and she was never to find out about her ever.

Lilith hated her mother for making her go through this.  So Lilith became a little vixen.  She wanted to do things her way and she managed to find ways to do it.  She eventually ran her mother out of VIP and Lilith took over the reins and she became the Madam.

Lilith had a black heart and she never, ever wanted to love or be loved.  She did things harshly and even though she did end up falling in love, she vowed to never act on her feelings.  She was a determined person and she would raise hell for her girls, she protected them, they were like her babies.  She would make sure they were well taken care of and she was a good businesswoman.

Some crazy events happen in this book.  I'm not going to get into that because I'll be giving the story away and I am not about to do that.  I didn't know what to expect at the end of this book, but I can tell you that I wasn't disappointed on how it ended.  Now I'm highly anticipating MVP band start reading about my favorite couple.

Ysabelle and Sebastian are the perfect couple for me.  I couldn't seem to get enough of them in VIP and I am looking forward to reading about them in MVP.

I highly enjoyed this story of the Madam.  I was intrigued to find out how she became the Madam and I was actually really into this story line.  Talk about having drama, suspense, sadness, and most of all......sex, lots and lots of sex!

**Before you read The Madam, be sure and read book 1: VIP**

32 year old Sebastian Vanwell, was a very successful yacht broker, who always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious boat. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving childhood with only a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life. The one person that he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession, that was until he saw her. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn't control no matter how hard he tried.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complexion Ysabelle Telle didn't have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared, and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only; herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her ensuring her success as a VIP.

There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.

In this story we meet Ysabelle and Sebastian who have led completely different lives. Ysabelle comes from a very broken home with a drug addicted mother and cannot wait to leave her current way of life. Sebastian comes from an amazing family with supportive parents and lots of good friends. The leading up to the how and why of their meeting is absolutely amazing!

"I knew come the next morning my life would change and I would no longer be this silhouette of a person. In a sense, I was waving goodbye to a part of me, and saying hello to someone new. My life was about to change in more ways than one."

In the beginning of the story we get a ton of background on both Ysabelle's and Sebastian's lives growing up. This is told from dual POV's. I must say, I was captivated by it. I loved hearing how they both grew up and the life lessons and tragedies that made them who they were. I was hooked and I COULD NOT put this book down during this point. Sebastian (Sebby for short) grew up with his parents' best friend's daughter and then their adoptive daughter was brought into it. Let me just say, there were some wow moments! Things I honestly didn't see coming then bam, my jaw drops. I will say however, about half way through, I started to REALLY dislike Sebastian. I thought he was a pushover and needed to grow a backbone. His decisions negatively affected so many others lives and yet, he still couldn't just be honest!

"It also became sort of a sick game for me, to see if I could get them to fall in love with me. I enjoyed knowing that I had someone in this world to love me. I'm a sadistic bitch, it gave me pleasure, even though I knew I would never reciprocate it."

Ysabelle, wow, I loved her, mostly. She came from a horrible upbringing, had horrible things happen to her, yet she kept going strong. She knew what she wanted and she went and got it. While I understood where she was coming from after meeting Sebastian I will say I did lose some respect for her. It was all gained back however by her decisions to stay strong and put herself first. Watching Ysabelle and Sebastian together in the book was like a train wreck. And like one, you just couldn't look away. I seriously devoured this book. There were some issues with the writing for me which lowered my rating and also there were some other issues but I don't want to ruin them for you as they would contain spoilers. Overall however, I would recommend this book to anyone who isn't offended easily and loves a good story. Looking back over my notes though I came across this and thought it was funny so thought I would share. It was a thought from Sebastian I believe? "Ysabelle sucked my cock like a f*cking pro..." I mean, she is a call girl so she is "technically" a pro is she not? LOL
