Bound and Unbroken is the story of Lena, aka Loner, and Eric, aka Rusty. They meet in a bar, which is totally out of character for Lena, she would much rather stay at home and read a book. It was meant to just be one night of fun at the bar and a shared cab ride and one HOT kiss. Rusty completely got under Lena’s skin and consumed her thoughts. She thought she would never see him again but then she ran into him at the school she works at and from there the relationship grows.

Lena has a history of control issues but it seems like she wants to find a way to give up some of the control if only for one night, hence the cab ride home. Eric just recently gained custody of his nephew. I would have liked to have read more about his nephew and why he hadn’t spoken since the accident; it seemed like an important part of the story and was not fully explained.

As their relationship develops, we learn what happened in Lena’s past that left her with control issues and wondering if she can have a normal relationship. Eric is strong and confident and he feels drawn to Lena and wants to help her let loose of the control issues.

This was a good book; it has good characters Eric, the strong alpha man, and Lena, the “loner” that needs to find a way to gain inner strength so she can become the woman she is meant to be. The sex scenes are steamy and HOT. From the moment they first met both Eric and Lena felt a pull to one another. But will her past issues keep them from developing a lasting relationship? Will Eric be able to get her comfortable with herself and show her that she can move on to a safe and happy relationship? I would recommend this book to anyone who likes alpha males and BDSM novels. I look forward to reading more from Skye Callahan.

Skye Callahan has been coming up with stories for as long as she can remember, and by elementary school she was writing them down to share with friends and teachers.
