Lila Carmichael is a very smart and young girl who graduated early from Princeton and was out looking for a job in the publishing industry. Lila answers an add for CEO's assistant at Skyscraper. Her roommate Eva, decides to give her a make-over and really transforms Lila from a mousy looking girl into a a dazzling woman. When Lila gets to Skyscraper, she is told that the owner himself is going to interview her. Mr. Alexander Wolfe. The attraction is instant between these two and the sizzling, steamy, sexy roller coaster begins!
Lila ends up getting the position right away. For some reason Alexander was drawn to her resume and wanted to interview her himself for his assistant. He immediately was drawn to her and the sparks started flying all over the place. It so happens that Mr. Wolfe's birthday is that day and he asks her to join him in celebrating and they drink some champagne from a bottle that was given to him by his brother. From the first time they have sex, Alexander feels like he needs to protect her and can't seem to keep his hands off of her. He wants her to himself and doesn't want to let her go.
He invites her to go to Paris with him since she has stated that she's never been anywhere and he wants to show her the world. He would do anything for her. He fell in love with her instantly. Lila felt the same for him but she had her limits. She hated to be locked up because of the past that she had, but she did love the attention and the lavish gifts he gave her. But everything had it's limits.
They decide to open up to each other and tell each other how their lives were when they were growing up. They both had some rough childhoods and this is why Alexander felt like he needed to keep her by his side, to protect her and make sure no one harmed her.
I loved the steamy sex this book had to offer and I definitely liked the story line.
I recommend this book if you like to read erotica, this is a great, hot and steamy book. The sex was just out of this world in this book!
I definitely give this 4.5 stars because I love reading these types of books!!
