Synopsis:

Mace Jordan was not the type of guy I expected to sweep me off my feet. I knew of the crowd he ran with, and they were bad news. But beyond that tough, biker exterior was a sweetheart, and one that treated me like his princess.
I liked being the good girl with the bad boy, but I never expected this. What I saw on his computer…I thought I knew him.

But I was wrong. So wrong…

If there was ever a bad time for me to fall for a chick it was now, but from the moment I saw Leeta, she had me. There was something special about her, and I had to have her. But I also had a job to do, and I couldn’t let her distract me from that. I couldn’t let her discover that side of me either. But she’s not stupid, and I know she’s getting close. God knows what she’ll do if she discovers the truth.

Or what she thinks is the truth.

REVIEW:

Leeta first meets Mace when she and her best friend go into a bar to buy some weed. Mace swoops in and pretends to be Leeta’s boyfriend to save the girls from the men that are bothering them.  Leeta and Mace begin dating and Leeta realizes that there’s a lot about Mace that she doesn’t know. Leeta is the typical good girl, she’s a district attorney and comes from a privileged family; Mace is a biker bad boy from a notorious crime family. There is an undeniable connection between Mace and Leeta. You can tell that they truly love one another but they both have their fair share of secrets, the question is when Leeta finds out what Mace is hiding will their love be enough. Can Leeta live with what Mace has done and understand why he felt like he had to hide it from her.

For me, Provoke, started out a little slow but once Leeta finds clues to what Mace is hiding it moves fast and from that point on I was unable to put the book down. Missy makes you feel everything that Leeta and Mace are experiencing. And I mean everything… she will make you feel so much terror and fear for them that you think you’re in the book with them. It was a good read and overall I would give it 3.5 groupie stars.

About the Author:

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
